Transcript
00:00Hulu's Pen15 is coming to an end. The Emmy-nominated comedy was created by and
00:14stars Maya Erskine and Anna Konkle. It will come to a close December 3rd when
00:18the second half of season two drops on the Disney back streamer.
00:21Going between my mom's and my dad's place, they're just like, oh do everything,
00:25you're an adult, and then like they treat me like a kid when it's convenient.
00:29You have a little bit of growing up to do.
00:31The decision to end the series was made by the stars and creators, who play 13-year-old
00:35versions of themselves on the breakout comedy. Sources note that the duo were ready to take
00:39a break from the series that, in total, they'd been working on for nearly a decade.
00:43Other sources note Hulu very much wants to do additional seasons of Pen15 and is leaving
00:48the door open for more should they opt to someday return. The Disney back streamer is also interested
00:52in working with them on other projects.
00:54While Hulu wanted the show to go on, the pair, who are both 34, are now parents and have used
01:09the platform of Pen15 to land other gigs, including an upcoming role in Obi-Wan Kenobi for Erskine,
01:14and feature Together Together for Konkle. For more on this story, go to THR.com. For The Hollywood
