00:15Hello to the companions of Telesur and all the audience watching us in this transmission.
00:21I am in Beijing now to report to you that groups of protesters gathered in front of
00:27Okinawa prefectural government building in Japan. This in response to the comments made by the
00:34Japanese Prime Minister Sanaita Kaeshi regarding Taiwan. During the protest, demonstrators demanded
00:42that Taakashi retract her statements and resign. They also emphasized that the countries need to
00:50uphold its pacifist constitution and pointed out that Okinawa hosts numerous U.S. military bases,
01:01which has negatively impacted the local population, including the contamination of water sources.
01:11The protest stemmed from November 7, when Taakashi stated that any potential use of force by China

01:29reflected the government position. The demonstration brought together citizens, civic groups and academics
01:38who expressed concerns about the impacts and the implications of the Prime Minister comments and their
01:47potential effects on regional security and stability. With this news, we go back with you in the studios in La Habana, Cuba.
