An Adelaide shopping centre has been locked down following a violent fight. Two people including a 16-year-old boy have been rushed to hospital with serious stab injuries. Police say a fight broke out between four people inside the Elizabeth city centre in Adelaide’s northern suburbs just after 2 pm. A suspect has been apprehended.

00:00So police arrested a male for serious offences for a stabbing incident in the Elizabeth shopping centre this afternoon.
00:09This is really early stages of the investigation but quick details of the incident as we know so far are
00:18just after 2pm this afternoon a fight broke out between a group of four males in the Elizabeth shopping centre.
00:26During the altercation a 20 year old man was stabbed in the abdomen and a 16 year old boy was stabbed in the leg.
00:34Police quickly responded to the incident and arrested a male for stabbing.
00:39The knife used for stabbing has been recovered. The male is being interviewed and will be charged thereafter.
00:47The injuries sustained by the 16 year old boy are considered life threatening.
00:52He is currently being treated at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.
00:56Due to the nature of the incident a part of the Elizabeth shopping centre was closed for business
01:02and that was mainly to ensure safety of everyone and for police to conduct an investigation.
01:10Police are working with the centre management to reopen the shopping centre as soon as possible.
