00:07Hey guys it's Devontae for Hollywood Life with the Spider-Man update. Yesterday we told you all
00:13about the drama surrounding Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios being unable to reach new terms
00:18in the co-production of future live-action Spider-Man films. Kevin Feige is reportedly
00:23out of the picture and Sony released a statement saying they were disappointed in Disney's decision
00:28to pull him but they respect it. So far the face of the franchise Tom Holland has yet to make any
00:33official statement of his own but MCU Cosmic's Jeremy Conrad noticed he's no longer following
00:39Sony on Instagram following the news of the split. Tom's father however has had multiple reactions
00:44to the news. Dominic Holland released a blog post yesterday addressing the situation saying radio
00:50stations wanted him to talk on their show and speculate about the news but he declined. Dominic
00:54goes on to say to conclude I know nothing about the impasse between Sony and Marvel. I have no
00:59inside track on such issues but whatever is decided by the big suits at these big Hollywood studios
01:05my hunch is that the show will continue. He followed that post with another slamming the media for
01:10twisting his words. Dominic said in fact Tom Holland's dad has never spoken with Tom Holland since the
01:16seismic story broke and he certainly is not taking sides. He's not calling for any boycotts and he will
01:22not be storming any offices anytime soon. And while Tom's dad isn't taking sides Stanley's daughter
01:28definitely is. JC Lee told TMZ Marvel and Disney seeking total control of my father's creations must
01:34be checked and balanced by others who while seeking profit have genuine respect for Stanley and his
01:40legacy. From day one they have commoditized my father's work and never shown him or his legacy any
01:46respect or decency. In the end no one could have treated my father worse than Marvel and Disney's
