The TV personality did not appear on Monday's season nine premiere as she is "taking a few days off," but her co-hosts still talked about the departure of their former boss.

00:00Julie Chen set Monday's season 9 premiere of The Talk out just a day after her husband,
00:05Leslie Moonves, stepped down as the chairman and CEO of CBS.
00:09Chen addressed her absence from the show in a statement, saying,
00:20Chen's co-host, Sharon Osbourne, talked about the news at the top of the show, saying,
00:30After more than a decade in his current role, Moonves stepped down as new sexual assault allegations surfaced.
00:40In a New Yorker article written by Ronan Farrow and published on Sunday,
00:44six women leveled sexual harassment and assault allegations against Moonves.
00:49He was previously accused of sexual assault by six other women in a report published back in July.
00:54On Sunday night, Moonves issued a statement calling the new allegations untrue,
00:59adding that he was deeply saddened to be leading the company.
01:02On Monday's episode of The Talk, Osbourne revealed that although she previously shared messages of support for Moonves,
01:08whom she says she only knew in a superficial way,
01:11she feels different now that more women have come forward with stories of sexual misconduct.
01:16She told the audience,
01:17And co-hosts Cheryl Underwood, Eve and Sarah Gilbert concluded the opening segment with messages of support for Chen.
