00:00Congratulations! This is the big night, the big premiere. How are we feeling?
00:04I'm, you know, equal parts excited and terrified.
00:07I think the thing that I'm most excited about is I finally get to see this in a room filled with people,
00:12a lot of whom I worked with on this, a lot of people I love.
00:15We're going to see it, like, on the big screen with the sound.
00:18I've only been seeing it in post.
00:20And now it's going to be in its full insane glory, so I'm excited.
00:24It's crazy out here right now. They turned the Empire State Building red.
00:28I know. Yeah, it's a big night for Daredevil for sure.
00:31I also wanted to say I know that there was a big creative overhaul midway through the production.
00:36You were brought on as showrunner.
00:37Were there any challenges, if any, being brought on midway through?
00:41And how did you kind of face that?
00:42Yeah, there were challenges. I mean, when you come into something after they've looked at it
00:47and you have existing material and you're trying to kind of build context into that,
00:52it was daunting but also exciting.
00:56And then when you had a team of people, some of whom I worked with before, some of whom I hadn't,
01:01and were all kind of rowing in the same direction,
01:03it was as we got in and we realized, hey, this might work, it got really fun.
01:07And then now, seeing it on the screen, seeing it finally kind of, like, land,
01:13it's the best feeling in the world.
01:15I mean, and then we're kind of, like, taking a breath and on Friday we start shooting season two.
01:20Yeah. I know a lot of fans are excited to see what MCU characters might pop up.
01:25If not, if you could have your dream MCU character pop up into this series, who would it be?
01:30They'll get mad at me for saying, you know, there are, I'll put it this way.
01:36There are characters in the Hell's Kitchen, the street-level area of this show that,
01:42they're top of my wish list. And, you know, there's a certain bourbon-drinking gal that I would love to see in this world.
01:52That's about all I could say.
01:54I know. I can't remember who it was, but someone said that New York is actually the number one on the call sheet.
02:00Absolutely. I mean, that's one of the things that's been so fun.
02:03And one of the things that I think these two guys, Justin Benson and Aaron at Moorhead,
02:08have built is this is not New York sanitized, New York kind of New York basically doubled by Toronto.
02:18So this is like Lou Reed's New York. This is a gritty kind of dirty boulevard and they've built it beautifully.
02:24And it is one of our characters. It is home with all that means inside and outside.
02:30And finally, I want to ask you the question. So this is something that we do every week.
02:34We ask a different question to everyone that walks on the carpet.
02:37Since this is Oscars week, I have to ask, which is a project that you are really rooting for for Best Picture?
02:43Wow. Anora. Yeah, I would have to say I would. Yeah, it would be that one.
02:50иной, that's as though are the biggest stout.
02:52And there is an pendant, it uses a boy count holes.
02:54Ai, that's not only that work.
02:57Or sometimes none.
02:59Look for us.
03:00So you will say I can hear a little beat once and I can try.
03:02Well, that's it, Robot, wasn't my boy count green.
03:04And here is my withレugia what I've heard.
03:05I's the one.
03:06You might ever say a little girl.
03:07Now there's the start.
03:09I was an improvement in here from someone who wasification.
03:11I was going to have a little girl.
03:13I'm so excited.
03:15I have to say something.
