The filmmakers behind 'Freaky Tales' are opening up about working with the late Angus Cloud in one of his final roles. The 'Euphoria' actor, who died at age 25 in July, is posthumously onscreen at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival in the feature film directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. Fleck told The Hollywood Reporter of Cloud prior to the festival, "He's got the Bay Area accent. It's important that we had some people that talked that way [in the movie]." Boden added, "We felt really lucky to have gotten him in the movie."

00:23Fleck told the Hollywood Reporter of Cloud prior to the festival,
00:26He's got the Bay Area accent. It's important that we had some people that talked that way in the movie.
00:31Boden added, we felt really lucky to have gotten him in the movie.
00:35The filmmaking duo had seen Cloud's work on Euphoria as Fezco, a drug dealer with a heart of gold.
00:40In Freaky Tales, he plays Travis, a would-be burglar in the film's neo-Nazi gang.
00:45Boden said, he cared so much about the role. Even in the most tense moments on set, he would bring this different energy and help break the tension.
00:52He ends up bringing this very specific, very Angus energy to the role.
00:55He totally transforms it from something that could be a very average role that you don't think that much about
01:00into something that has a very specific life to it.
