James Gunn is giving us more insight into Nicholas Hoult's version of Lex Luthor in 'Superman: Legacy'. The co-chair and co-CEO of DC Studios posted a photo of him and Hoult on Threads and shared that the two had dinner to celebrate the official casting.

00:27Because although we were discussing it, it wasn't final until a couple days ago.
00:31And I don't want to tell you all something that isn't certain.
00:34News broke in November that Holt was in talks to portray the classic villain in Gunn's upcoming Superman movie.
00:39The great actor was also one of the finalists to play Superman in the film,
00:43but the title role eventually went to David Cornswept.
00:46Meanwhile, Rachel Brosnahan will portray Lois Lane.
00:48Superman Legacy is expected to hit theaters July 11, 2025.
