Retirees choose offseason travel in China

00:00With the weather getting colder in northern China, many retirees are migrating south to
00:11spend the winter in a warmer climate.
00:13At the Shenzhen Bauan International Airport, seniors dragging heavy luggage have become
00:18an increasingly regular sight these days.
00:22I'm from Harbin, and I'm taking a trip to Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Macau and Zhuhai, and
00:28then I'll spend the whole winter in Sanya.
00:31Data from an airline passenger service platform shows that now, during the off-season, the
00:36average price of domestic flights has been around 106 U.S. dollars.
00:41For senior travelers, cheap and comfortable are their top requirements.
00:47From late of last month, attendance rate on the flights, which from Beijing, Harbin, Changchun
00:52and Shenyang to Shenzhen is up to 85 percent, about 4 percent more than last year.
00:57The number of the elderly on a flight is over 50.
