China completes Shenzhou-22 emergency space launch mission
Transcript
00:00From the Beijing Eurospace Control Center, we've witnessed the successful fast rendezvous
00:10and docking of the Shenzhou-22 spacecraft with China's space station.
00:15The whole process took about 3.5 hours.
00:18The thing with the Shenzhou-21 launch mission is a new record, because all previous missions
00:24were completed in about 6.5 hours.
00:28The mission today is done automatically, with the 3 crew members of the Shenzhou-21 onboard
00:34the China space station watching closely.
00:37After the docking, the payloads inside the spacecraft will be uploaded to China's space station.
00:43There are foods, including fresh fruits, and devices to repair the cracks on the viewport
00:49window of the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft, as well as components to be installed inside the China
00:55space station.
00:57And now the China space station is taking on the T-4 mission ship once again, with both
01:03Shenzhou-20 and Shenzhou-22 spacecraft, as well as the Tianzhou-9 cargo ship.
01:09The 3 crew members, the commander Zhang Lu and crew members Wu Fei and Zhang Hong Zhang, will
01:15begin their new tasks during their half-year stay in space.
01:19I've been watching China space missions since 2021.
01:23For every mission, there has been the backup plan, that is, a backup carrier rocket with
01:28the backup spacecraft.
01:30It's always the same for every mission, whether it is for a manned mission or for the cargo
01:35supply missions.
01:37This is because the first priority for all missions is the safety of the astronauts.
01:41The first priority for the astronauts.
01:42The first priority for the astronauts will be the first priority for the astronauts.
