00:03as soon as I'm out. Matthew McConaughey is opening up about what his leadership might
00:07look like as he continues to consider running for governor of Texas. In a recent interview on
00:12The Carlos Watson Show, the native Texans said that if he does decide to go into politics,
00:16he wants to make a long-term difference. I'm interested in building something that can last,
00:21and I'm measuring what category that is. I don't know if that's politics. That whole
00:25embassy of politics has some redefining of its purpose. When Watson asked McConaughey if he had
00:31the quote constitution to have tough fights and talk about things that may be uncomfortable,
00:35he said, I trust my core beliefs. I trust my core beliefs enough and my values enough to know,
00:40to feel comfortable listening to an opposing one. The actor went on to share this. We got to make
00:46some sacrifices for larger rewards tomorrow. McConaughey has reportedly been making calls
00:53to influential Texans in the political realm to gauge their thoughts on his possible campaign.
