Transcript
00:00Netflix just bought six years. It's one of the first major buys at South by Southwest this year.
00:07We're about to head inside the Intercontinental to talk with the leading man and the leading lady right now.
00:13Guys, congratulations on the Netflix acquiring your film.
00:17Oh yeah.
00:18I'm so excited. I think that Netflix is kind of like the perfect medium for our film in particular.
00:24And I'm really excited about the content that they've been choosing as they've started developing more and more projects.
00:30So I feel like we're amongst great company.
00:33The story is obviously one about our relationship. Six years. What made you guys want to jump on board this project in particular?
00:42When I first read the script, I loved how relatable it was.
00:45And just, I mean, it's a story that everyone's been through or it's going to go through or it's going through.
00:51I could relate because I was in that same point in my life. I'm 20. I'm trying to figure life out.
00:57Sometimes I'm a little emotional because I haven't figured it out yet.
01:01Yeah. We all are.
01:02Shooting day to day, you guys obviously have to have a lot of great chemistry. What was that like? Was that a process through the film?
01:08Ben and I had met a few years, a few times over the years. I mean, we'd actually done another movie together, but we never got to act together in it.
01:14Ben, Hannah and I, we all just bonded together before we shot and then the chemistry was just there.
01:21You know, when you work with an actor, you know if you can look in their eyes and see the connection and it worked, you know, and it just happened to work out well.
01:29I just want the audience to walk away with just a feeling of, I don't even know how to put it. It's just, it's...
01:39It's such a personal movie. Yeah, I feel like there's not a message to it and that's what I love about the movie exactly.
01:45There's not the sort of like, so now you know that you should or shouldn't do this or life works this or this, but that it resonates with people.
01:52Yeah. Because it was personal for us making the film and I think it's an intimate, personal movie and I hope it reaches people in that way.
01:58Yeah, whether it's helping guide people in the future or people who are going through similar experiences or whether it's just like a callback to, you know.
02:07Yeah, helping them figure out some things that happened in your past. Yeah.
02:10So be sure to look out for six years on Netflix.
