00:00Do you have a strange or surreal experience you've had here at the festival?
00:05I won a jury prize last time. That was surreal and amazing and such an honor.
00:12I like getting into spontaneous snowball fights. I find that that can happen if you initiate.
00:20And they fight back.
00:22Yeah. Well, sometimes. It depends. But it's worth a try.
00:30So we like to kick things off with the chairlift pitch, which is the 15-second,
00:36this is what my movie is about and how I would explain it to a person on a chairlift.
00:40I would say it's about a mysterious man who comes to a shithole town in the middle of nowhere
00:47with his platonic partner to perform a mysterious event, and everybody is very excited about the event.
00:53And we don't know why, whether because it's going to be brilliant or because nothing ever happens in the town.
00:59That was 13 and a half seconds.
01:02That sounds like something I'd really like to see.
01:04Yeah, I want to see that too.
01:05After I'm done skiing.
01:06And for the actors, tell me about your characters and why you felt you wanted to take them on.
01:12I play a character called Lulu Danger, and I just really loved the story.
01:19And it was just kind of a different character than I've ever played before, and I thought that would be really fun.
01:26I play a character named Beverly Loughlin.
01:29He's a singer who sings in these rundown hotels.
01:34He's influenced by Scottish culture, and he's co-dependent with another man.
01:39And I thought it was a great challenge considering my dialogue was mostly a lot of grunts.
01:49So I had to find ways to convey emotion and thoughts through just grunting.
01:57So it was a great challenge.
01:59Philosophical grunting.
02:00Philosophical grunting, yes.
02:01Okay.
02:02And Matt, how about for you?
02:04I play a character called Rodney.
02:07I'd seen his previous film, so I wanted to get involved for that reason, really.
02:12Did you have a favorite day on set sort of being in this story?
02:16I mean, every day was ridiculous.
02:19One of my favorite things about being in kind of the world that he created are all the side characters, all the extras, and all the, I don't know.
02:29There's just a lot of interesting people around at all times.
02:33It was a very bizarre, weird experience.
02:36It is, it's so weird and fun.
02:40And like she was saying, everybody truly has their own story.
02:46Like no matter how, you know, small a character or what have you, for lack of a better word, small.
02:52But everybody has their own movie, really.
03:00It's going to be possible for anyone.
03:03Oh!
03:08If I can just, down.
03:10Oh, so close.
03:11Congratulations!
