The four-part Netflix limited series based on the true story will premiere in 2019.

00:00Ava DuVernay has found the stars of her next project at Netflix.
00:04Michael K. Williams, Vera Farmiga and John Leguizamo have been tapped to lead the
00:08director's Central Park Five limited series at the streaming giant.
00:12DuVernay will write and direct the four-episode narrative series, which will
00:16chronicle the notorious case of five teenagers of color who were convicted of a rape they did not commit.
00:21The series will focus on the five teenagers from Harlem and will span from the spring of 1989,
00:26when each was first questioned about the incident, to 2014 when they were exonerated and a settlement
00:32was reached with the city of New York.
00:34The Wire alum Williams will play Bobby McRae, the devoted father of accused teen Antron McRae.
00:39Farmiga of Bates Motel will play Elizabeth Lederer, the Manhattan assistant district attorney
00:45and lead prosecutor on the case.
00:47And Leguizamo of Bloodline will play Raymond Santana Sr., the father of accused teen Raymond Santana Jr.
00:53Jeff Skoll and Jonathan King from Participant Media, Oprah Winfrey slash Harpo Films,
00:58Jane Rosenthal and Barry Welsh from Tribeca Productions and DuVernay will executive produce
01:03the limited series, which is slated to debut in 2019.
