Will Sharpe chatted with The Hollywood Reporter on the red carpet of the 2023 SAG Awards.

00:00How does it feel to be here today at a show that's all about celebrating actors?

00:03Very exciting, very grateful to be a part of the show.

00:06We're all very proud of it.

00:07Nice to see a lot of, you know, I haven't seen a lot of these people for a long time.

00:12So, yeah, very grateful to be here.

00:14What is it like reuniting with the cast today?

00:17It was cool, yeah.

00:18I mean, like, we've seen each other, like, you know, a couple of us have been here for,

00:21you know, a few of us have been here for a couple of days.

00:23So I think we're all going to celebrate tomorrow as well.

00:26So it's nice.

00:27With the show being so popular with season two,

00:31is there one fan reaction that has happened to you now out in the world since it's premiered

00:35that really took you by surprise, like somebody came at you with something?

00:40No, I mean, like, while it was airing, it was fun to hear, like, friends' theories and stuff

00:45about where it was headed.

00:47And it always felt like we had to kind of speak in riddles so as not to give anything away.

00:51I know lots of people ask about, you know, Ethan and Daphne and what really happened.

00:56And, you know, honestly, I don't have a clear-cut answer for that.

01:01I think it's supposed to be ambiguous.

01:02It's heavily implied that something happened, I would say.

01:04But in terms of the story, it just felt like the point of that is that there is some kind of moment

01:08of connection that creates a shift, you know, in Ethan's attitude, I guess.

01:15Aubrey is regarded as so hilarious and so many people love her.

01:18For you working with her, was there anything you learned about her that kind of surprised you?

01:22Like, is she just as funny behind the scenes or is she maybe more serious than some people might think?

01:26She's very funny and she has a very dry sense of humor, which works for me.

01:31She is also, yeah, like, took it very seriously.

01:33We both wanted to do a really good job.

01:35I think she's a really great actor as well as comedian.

01:40But, yeah, I had a great time working with her.

01:41I think she's awesome.

01:43Everyone loved the cast on season two, so many viewers.

01:46Is there one actor that you think would be a great addition to a season three?

01:50Like, someone that you think would do well on The White Lotus?

01:53You know, I mean, do you mean, like, just out there in the world?

01:57I don't know.

01:58Like, the casting is often so surprising and I think Mike chooses very carefully.

02:02So, I think that's a question for him.

02:05But, yeah, I'm sure they'll find some really cool people.
