00:00A member of President Trump's own party, Senator Ron Johnson, is throwing a wrench into the
00:05president's plans to send millions of Americans $2,000 tariff dividend checks next year.
00:10Here he is on Fox Business this week.
00:13We can't afford it. I wish you're in a position to return the American public their money,
00:17but we're not. Again, we'll have at least a $2 trillion deficit this year.
00:21Approval to send the checks would, in fact, need to come from Congress. So
00:25Johnson's opposition is not a good sign for those hoping for a boost to their bank account
00:29from tariff gains. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says that the president's tariffs brought in
00:34$90 billion between their implementation and the end of September. Sending $2,000 to individuals
00:41earning under $100K a year, for example, would cost $300 billion, according to the Tax Foundation.
00:48So much for peace in Ukraine, and I'll give you one guess as to why. In a move surprising
00:54absolutely no one, Russia is set to reject the 19-point ceasefire deal crafted by officials
01:01from the United States and Ukraine. Sources told the Post Moscow may use disinformation tactics
01:07to keep President Trump engaged in continued talks and extend the fighting past Christmas.
01:13On Wednesday afternoon, the president said he was directing members of his administration to meet
01:17with the Ukrainians and Russians, respectively, and added in a Truth Social Post, quote,
01:22I look forward to hopefully meeting with President Zelensky and President Putin soon, but only when
01:28the deal to end this war is final or in its final stages. Now, if you need a refresher, the United
01:34States initially announced a 28-point plan that was criticized for favoring Russia. Moscow wasn't
01:40prepared to sign on, but suggested it was movement in the right direction. Then the U.S. and Ukraine
01:45refined the plan down to 19 points that seemed to be in line with what Ukraine was able to live with.
01:51But Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov went on the offensive, suggesting anything other than that
01:57original 28-point plan was a non-starter. I'm going to do a deep dive into this conflict, including
02:03speaking to a former U.S. military member who fights on the battlefield in Ukraine, and that is
02:08going to pop into your feeds tomorrow. A successful high school football coach in Virginia has vanished
02:13in the middle of his team's undefeated season. Travis Turner, a 46-year-old married dad,
02:19mysteriously went missing last week. People who knew him were at a total loss as to why he
02:24suddenly fell off the map. In an interview with a local sports network just days before his
02:30disappearance, he sounded upbeat and optimistic about his team's upcoming playoff game against
02:35a big rival, saying, quote, it's going to be a battle here and our kids be ready. But authorities now
02:42say he's under investigation. So could his disappearing act be more of an escape act?
02:48Police say they were literally in their cop cars on their way to Turner's home, not to arrest him,
02:54but as part of this investigation and, quote, while in transit, the agents were informed that Turner
03:00was no longer at the location. Turns out Coach Turner is wanted for five counts of child pornography
03:06and another five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor. His wife was asked about the
03:12allegations on Tuesday and said she didn't know anything. Now, on the same day Turner disappeared,
03:18officials in the school district where he works disclosed that one of their employees was placed
03:21on administrative leave amid an ongoing investigation. But as of Tuesday night,
03:26the district hadn't confirmed whether or not that employee was Turner.
