00:00Anthropic drops $50 billion to supercharge U.S. data centers in the AI gold rush.
00:07Anthropic plans to invest $50 billion in U.S. AI infrastructure, constructing massive data
00:13centers to ensure its chatbot Claude can handle complex, high-demand tasks without slowing
00:19down or getting winded.
00:22Anthropic is partnering with AI cloud platform FluidStack to build new data centers in Texas
00:28and New York, with plans for more locations signaling a major U.S. AI infrastructure expansion.
00:36The data centers, launching in 2026, are expected to create 800 jobs, Anthropic sites supporting
00:44the Trump administration's AI action plan, boosting U.S. tech leadership and domestic
00:50AI infrastructure.
00:52And in case you thought this was the only mega-spending spree in town, think again.
00:57The AI data center arms race is fully underway.
01:01Earlier this year, OpenAI and SoftBank dropped JAWS with their $500 billion Stargate project,
01:08which will also kick off in Texas.
01:11Then there's Meta, apparently responding with a casual $600 billion U.S. infrastructure investment
01:18of its own.
01:19At this point, large language models may soon have nicer homes than most Americans.
01:25Anthropic calls its $50 billion investment essential to meet CLOD's soaring computing demands,
01:32stay at the AI frontier, and fuel a data center expansion powering both innovation and massive
01:38energy use.
