Meta's new tool helps Reels creators protect their IP.
00:04
Meta is rolling out a digital bouncer for Facebook creators that boots copycats and asks,
00:09
Sir, is that Reel actually yours?
00:11
On Monday, Meta unveiled Facebook Content Protection,
00:14
a mobile-only tool to detect reposts of a creator's original Facebook Reel.
00:19
Think of it as a neighborhood watch for vertical videos and overworked influencers.
00:23
Here's how it works.
00:24
If Meta spots your Reel on someone else's page, you'll get a heads up.
00:27
From there, you can block it across Facebook and Instagram, track performance, or add attribution.
00:34
You can even release your claim entirely if you're feeling generous.
00:37
There's a small catch.
00:39
Creators must post Reels on Facebook, even if they film them for Instagram.
00:43
Cross-posting counts, nudging creators to bring more work to Facebook's side of town.
00:48
The feature appears for Facebook content monetization creators
00:50
who meet Meta's enhanced integrity and originality standards.
00:53
It's also expanding to users of Meta's existing Rights Manager tool.
00:58
Meta frames the update as a crusade to help original creators rise above the sea of copycats.
01:04
The company says it zapped around 10 million fake or impersonating profiles
01:08
and punished another half million accounts.
01:11
So, yes, the cleanup continues.
01:13
Creators can check eligibility through notifications,
01:16
the professional dashboard, or by applying directly.
01:18
Once enabled, the tool uses Rights Manager matching tech
01:22
and shows match percentages, stats, views, and follower counts.
01:26
Meta also gives fine-grained control,
01:29
including allow lists and original labels that link back to a profile.
01:32
For now, the tool is mobile only,
01:34
and Meta says desktop support is in the works.
01:48
For now, the tool research stopped.
01:51
For now, the goal is of both not distinction.
01:53
For now, the tool 미국 and當地ists have taken care of.
