Chris Rock admitted he might not be the best person to console Michelle Obama. During an interview on 'The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,' the comedian told a story about the time he went to the Obama’s White House farewell party and totally failed.

00:11During an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the comedian told a story about
00:15the time he went to the Obama's White House farewell party and totally failed at talking
00:20politics with the former first lady. Rock said he was joined at the party by Jay-Z, Beyonce,
00:25Oprah Winfrey and Stevie Wonder, among others. At one point in the night, Rock found himself
00:29speaking one-on-one with Mrs. Obama. He told Fallon,
00:33"...I'm not really supposed to be alone with Michelle Obama. That's not really my lane.
00:37I don't know how to talk politics." The comedian said they spoke about the election and the former
00:42first lady voiced her concerns about the future of the country. According to Rock, Obama said,
00:47"...I don't know what's going to happen. This is such a crazy time." He responded with this,
00:52"...you'll be a'ight." The comedian went on to say,
00:56"...you can get any kind of job you want. The View, The Real Housewives of Atlanta."
01:01According to Rock, the former first lady responded,
01:03"...I was talking about the country. I wasn't talking about me."
01:07Rock says Obama then spotted Winfrey and ran away from him to talk to her. So, he went off to,
01:12as he put it, "...find some people as dumb as me." The comedian ended up partying with Charles
