Scandal Season 4 Confirms Harrison Wells Ending. Shonda Rhimes confirmed that we would be seeing his funeral. The character was killed after actor Columbus Short got fired from the show.

00:00Last time we saw Harrison Wright on Scandal, he was facing down the barrel of a gun.

00:05If you're like us, then you thought there was no way the show would kill off an original

00:09gladiator — until Columbus Short, the guy that plays the character, got fired from the

00:13show back in April.

00:14After that, we just assumed we'd be seeing Harrison's funeral in season four.

00:19But now show creator Shonda Rhimes is finally confirming his fate.

00:23She told TVGuide.com in a recent interview that, yes, it's safe to assume that Harrison

00:27has met his end.

00:29Rhimes didn't address Short's firing, which was apparently due to some personal

00:33drama, including accusations that he threatened his wife.

00:36But earlier this month, the actor made it clear that there were no hard feelings, saying,

00:41"...they did not throw me to the curb like trash.

00:43That's my family."

00:45He also made it clear that Rhimes supported him, but that ABC justifiably wanted to distance

00:50themselves.

00:51They did the right thing.

00:52So, now that we know that Harrison is done-zo, what else can we expect from season four?

00:57Shonda said that there may be some sort of a time jump when the show returns, saying,

01:01"...we find ourselves in a surprising place both time-wise and location-wise.

01:05There will definitely be more Papa Poe."

01:08The death of Fitz's son will bring him closer to Mellie, however, not sure it will be in

01:12a romantic way.

01:13And yes, Olivia is still in love with Fitz, despite her running off with Jake at the end

01:18of last season.
