Columbus Short is was fired from Scandal Season 4 after being arrested on Assault charges. Many are wondering if his character Harrison will be killed off.

00:05When we last saw Columbus shorts Harrison, he was facing down the barrel of a gun in

00:08Scandal's season 3 finale and we had a bad feeling that this would be the end of the

00:13road for the well-dressed gladiator.

00:15Now Columbus is confirming his exit from the show in a statement saying,

00:19Unfortunately, the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas.

00:23Apparently ABC and show creator Shonda Rhimes decided not to renew his contract for another

00:28season. We think it might have something to do with all the real-life drama that's playing

00:32out in the actor's life. Recently, Columbus was arrested after allegedly knocking a man

00:37out during an altercation in LA. Then his own wife issued a restraining order against him

00:42after she claimed he threatened her life during a fight earlier this month.

00:46This wouldn't be the first time Shonda has fired someone due to off-screen drama.

00:50In 2007, Isaiah Washington was let go from her Grey's Anatomy series after allegedly using

00:55a homophobic slur against his post-star T.R. Knight and then repeating the word backstage at the

01:01Golden Globes. The actor is only just now making a return to the series to reprise his role as Dr.

01:06Burke and all seems to be forgiven with at least some of the cast members.

01:10The tight-knit Scandal cast has yet to comment on Columbus's departure. We think it's safe to assume

01:15that Olivia and her associates might be out for blood next season. Eli Pope better watch out!
