00:00Leeds United head coach Daniel Farga found positives from his side's performance against
00:05Aston Villa, despite the Whites falling to a 2-1 defeat at Elland Road in the Premier
00:10League.
00:11Yes, especially because we returned back today to our performance, how we want to perform,
00:17to be ourself, to be active, to be aggressive, to press high, to be there with the counter-pressing
00:22to play aggressive football in possession, we were ourselves today, fully deserved to
00:26be in Leeds at halftime.
00:30On this level, you have to make sure that you don't always have to score three or four
00:34goals to win points, and again, so to concede these two goals, again, we didn't give much
00:39away, but yes, it was a bit again over the left flank today, as good as we are offensive-wise,
00:45but we have conceded again two goals over the left flank.
00:48These two moments were decisive, first goal straight after the kickoff for the second half.
00:55Dead ball situation, free kick, and you have to be quicker switched on in order to defend
01:01the situation, and don't allow them the cutback, and of course we know about the quality of
01:06the Villa players.
01:07Rodgers, I think, was in there, it was a good finish.
01:10Yes, and the second goal, I think, was also pretty unfortunate.
01:14And, Bradford City manager Graeme Alexander said that his side's goalless draw away at
01:19Bolton Wanderers was a competitive game between two good sides.
01:23A really good competitive game of football between two very good teams, I felt, and it
01:29went toe for toe. I think they had the better chance in the first half, but we had some really
01:34good chances in the second half. But yes, I was delighted with how the team committed to
01:39the game, the work ethic, the trust in each other, the courage to press how we did. Because
01:47I think if you come in and sit back a little bit, I think they're just going to dominate
01:51the game, and we have to carry a punch, and we certainly did that definitely in the second
01:55half. But I thought the way the players played in the first half was really good. It was great
02:01to see the team commit to that game like that.
02:03Is that the response you ought to see after the game against Lancaster?
02:07Yeah, I think, but, you know, listen, I've buried, you know, I spoke about it during the
02:11week, I've put that behind me, and I didn't want to carry that forward.
