00:00CBS has lined up its replacement for The Late Late Show with James Corden.
00:04Sources confirm to The Hollywood Reporter that after Corden departs,
00:08the network is set to replace the long-running The Late Late Show franchise
00:11with a reboot of the comedic panel game show At Midnight.
00:14Stephen Colbert, who hosts The Late Show for CBS,
00:17is on board as executive producer of the revived program
00:20that aired 600 episodes on Comedy Central before signing off in August 2017.
00:25Reps for CBS declined to comment.
00:27At Midnight, which launched in October 2013,
00:30aired Mondays through Thursdays on Comedy Central,
00:33with host Chris Hardwick asking internet-themed questions to three comedian guests.
00:37Hardwick is not expected to have direct involvement in the new iteration of At Midnight.
00:42Corden announced in April that he would be stepping down as host of the show in 2023
00:45to pursue other projects.
00:47I've decided to sign for one more year on the show
00:50and that this will be my last year hosting The Late Late Show.
00:54He has yet to announce an air date for his final episode.
