00:00The release of the upcoming James Bond film, No Time to Die, has been pushed back from April
00:13all the way to November due to the coronavirus outbreak. This makes it the first Hollywood
00:18tentpole to shift its global rollout because of the coronavirus outbreak. The 25th installment
00:23in the iconic spy franchise will commence its run on November 12th in the UK, followed by the U.S.
00:28on November 25th.
00:34Why would I betray you? We all have our secrets. We just didn't get to yours yet.
00:39The final outing of Daniel Craig's 007 had been due to begin rolling out internationally in early
00:44April, following a March 31st world premiere in London. It was scheduled to open in North America
00:49on April 10th. Relocating a tentpole and restarting a marketing campaign that was in full swing is a
00:55huge task. But insiders say hundreds of millions of dollars hung in the balance of the ongoing
01:01cinema blackout in China and a downturn in moviegoing in markets where coronavirus is a major
01:06issue, including South Korea, Italy and Japan. And there's concern that by early April other
01:12markets could be impacted.
01:14Earlier this week, MGM, Universal and Eon received an open letter from the biggest Bond fan blog,
01:19MI6HQ, calling on the companies to delay the launch due to the coronavirus outbreak and, quote,
01:25put public health above marketing release schedules. Aside from the concerns over audience members,
01:30the letter said the ongoing coronavirus outbreak could seriously impact the film's box office
01:35performance. For more on this story, head to THR.com. Until next time, for The Hollywood Reporter News,
