00:22At issue is the payout of the remainder of her reported $69 million contract. Kelly's side
00:33also is attempting to keep her non-compete clause as short as possible. Six months is standard
00:38in the television news industry, and Kelly did have such a clause in her Fox News exit
00:42agreement that kept her off the air for several months. This all comes after Kelly said this
00:46on her Tuesday show,
00:52The host has since apologized, but the comments had immediate consequences, with cancellations
01:03from multiple guests. But even before all that, Megyn Kelly Today struggled to gain traction.
01:08It averaged about 2.4 million viewers a day, while its direct competitor, ABC's Live with
01:13Kelly and Ryan, leads the time slot with 3 million viewers.
