Marcos: PH committed to tackle plastic pollution using nuclear technology

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Nov. 25, 2025 says the Philippines is committed to partner with international bodies and organizations in addressing plastic problems through nuclear technology. In speech during the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) International High-Level Forum (IHLF) on the Nuclear Technology for Controlling Plastic Pollution (NUTEC Plastics) in Pasay City, Marcos noted how plastic pollution posed a major problem that has now become global in scale, persistent in impact, and deeply entangled with the way economies grow.
