00:00Only if you want, would you like to share that story that because may dahilan ng lahat.
00:14You know, the story of the girl, is that something that you can share or not?
00:19Maraming ganyan. There is one.
00:21Meron akong gusto i-share na hindi pa alam ng marami.
00:23I was praying on the second day of Eman's death.
00:25I said, Lord, I hope that Eman's death is not in vain.
00:29Sana may dahilan ito.
00:31And I got all these letters.
00:33Eman pala was reaching out to all these people on TikTok.
00:36Whenever merong, Eman has become the icon of those who are mentally ill.
00:41Okay.
00:41Or may depresyon or bipolar.
00:43And despite her pain and despite the suffering ng anak ko, she was calling all these people.
00:48Tinatawagan niya.
00:49I got a message from international to.
00:55This one's from Asia.
00:57Hindi ko lang papangalanan because it's personal.
01:00Let me read.
01:01I'd like to express my profound condolences for the loss of Eman.
01:05She was one of the brightest people I knew and she was extremely inspirational.
01:09Ever since we met, we'd be very open with each other about mental health.
01:13Even up to this year, I myself struggled with my own battles.
01:16And on the day that she passed, I attempted to take my life.
01:21I don't know why I am the only one who's still here.
01:24I'm endlessly sorry for that.
01:25But I hope it brings you some kind of solace.
01:28I will continue to live in honor of Eman.
01:32This is only one letter, boy.
01:34I got many of these.
01:35Yes.
01:36I even saw someone on the wake.
01:38I thought Eman was a class of Eman.
01:40I cried.
01:40Then I said, are you a classmate of Eman?
01:44They're late now.
01:45I know the story.
01:46At 11.30.
01:47And then it turned out, ako po ay fan, Eman.
01:51And I found out through the mom that she's bipolar.
01:55So, marami.
01:56Maraming ganyan.
01:57I only went there because I am also sure na hindi in vain.
02:02Ang pagpanao.
02:04Yeah.
02:04Eman's death was not in vain.
02:06Maraming mangyayari.
02:06Even me and Feli, marami kami gagawin.
02:10Magluluksa lamang kami ng ilang buwan o ilang linggo.
02:14Marami kami gagawin.
02:15Marami akong nais gawin for Eman.
02:21So her death is not in vain.
02:22Para may dahilan ng pagkabatay niya.
02:25Oo.
02:26The other way of saying it is, from the stories I got, maraming buhay ang na-save.
02:32Because of Eman's death.
02:34You got a new tattoo.
02:37Ilan ba?
02:37Dalawa?
02:38Isa lang.
02:39Ano mo, itong tattoo na to?
02:41Teka muna.
02:42Mahirap pakita ito.
02:43Itong tattoo na to?
02:44Si Eman is a butterfly.
02:46Si Eman is a butterfly.
02:46Si Eman is a butterfly.
02:46Si Eman is a butterfly.
02:47Si Eman is a butterfly.
02:47Okay.
02:48It's a butterfly.
02:50It's a butterfly there.
02:51Butterfly.
02:51And a G-clef.
02:52A G-clef.
02:53A G-clef and a butterfly.
02:55And she was explaining it to him.
02:57Sabi niya, this is a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche.
03:00And it says, those who were dancing were thought insane by those who could not hear the music.
03:17And that was Eman.
03:24And that was Eman.
03:26Eman's different.
03:28Eman was found weird.
03:30But she was dancing to this music that she found was beautiful.
03:33And it gives me empathy.
03:36Marami tayo nakikita dyan.
03:38Kala natin baliw.
03:39Pero nagkaroon ako ng empathy.
03:41Nagkaroon ako ng ingat tayo.
03:45A little kindness goes a long way.
03:47No, and it's a reminder.
03:48Na minsan tayo.
03:51We're guilty of this.
03:52We're quick to judge.
03:53Yeah.
03:53Nakakakita tayo ng taong sumasaya.
03:55At kaagad ang tanong, ano ba yan?
03:57Babaliw na ba yan?
03:58But the truth is, we're not hearing the music.
04:00We're not hearing the music.
04:01Oo.
04:02And the music to them is beautiful.
04:03That's true.
04:04That's why Eman.
04:06International news.
04:08Alam mo ba ito, mga anak ko talaga?
04:10Si Eman, when she passed, she was in entertainment tonight.
04:15Alala ko.
04:16She was in DMZ ba yan?
04:20Oo.
04:21TMZ.
04:21TMZ.
04:22Right.
04:22She was in Los Angeles Times.
04:24She was in New York Times.
04:26But I only found out that Eman had an international following.
04:31Akala ko sikat siya sa Pilipinas.
04:33Akala ko, dahil anak ko eh.
04:35Pero hindi.
04:36She was followed by all.
04:39I have so many letters also, which I want to compile eh.
04:42Of her friends na nasa America saying that she was so, eto pa, Eman was so proud of you.
04:48Sabi nung isang kaibigan niya.
04:50Kuya Kim, I just want to let you know that you have to know this because I know that you're grieving.
04:55But Eman just speaks so highly of you.
04:58She said that you're her rock.
05:00And, you know, Eman never said that to me.
05:05Hindi siya, hindi siya, hindi siya, hindi siya sinasabi sa akin nila.
05:07Ayun niya lumaki yung ulo ko eh.
05:08But she was telling all her friends how much she loved me and how much, how good a father I was.
05:13Kasi kung may time tayo, basahin ko pa eh.
05:16Pwede mo masahin?
05:20Here.
05:20When I first met Eman in person, we started talking about mental health and the various times we had during her childhood.
05:30She explained much about her growing up and what her life was like.
05:34She got into the experiences she gave, talking about going to your races,
05:37and she thought it was so cool that someone could do that, mga triathlon ko,
05:40wanting even to become an athlete herself.
05:42She explained to me she had many struggles, including after her first attempt when she was hospitalized.
05:49She talked about how one of the reasons she thought it was going to be okay
05:52was you coming in and reading to her.
05:55I was reading the Bible to her.
05:56She reminisced on those points at her weakest,
05:59how she felt that sense of a family that really loved her.
06:03And many other letters like this.
06:05I've been getting this after she died.
