00:05to eat imagine if a michelin guide inspector goes into your restaurant to eat because they were
00:10they've been doing that and yesterday for the first time for the first time that took so long
00:17well because you know what it's it's a bougie award that you have to like pay yeah to have
00:22them come it's all bs the michelin guide it's a thing it's basically an award for you know
00:28really really fancy good restaurants but you have they don't know when they're coming though
00:34right it's all secret yeah but well they don't know when they're coming but they knew that
00:39michelin was correct you know scouting in the area yeah yeah yeah right and they knew around what
00:46time as well like they'd be like oh the month of whatever you know michelin's in town so yeah on
00:51your best behavior and if you're wondering why like michelin isn't that like the same name as the tire
00:56company no it's it is the tire company years ago when that when they started they released guides
01:03of restaurants i believe it was in france and they were like okay here's what we're gonna do we're
01:06gonna release a guide of restaurants that you need to travel to so that way people are driving more
01:11that way they'll mess up their tires and that way they'll need more michelin tires i didn't know that
01:15that's literally why they started yeah it's all bs so anyway they uh they they did their first
01:21michelin uh awards or whatever and they a one star is that's the lowest pebbles or okay okay
01:28yeah one two and three i don't know if they were so fancy that they went like you know one was like
01:32the highest just to be different okay so one star only one restaurant got got a michelin one star and
01:38that's three one one omakase in the south end i immediately i immediately went on and made a
01:44got on the wait list to make a reservation they didn't make a reservation got on the wait list
01:48to make a reservation i can't believe what it takes to get a reservation at that place it's like they
01:53take them 45 days in advance and you have to go on on a certain at noon on the 15th of the month to
01:59make a reservation yeah yeah my wife and i are on the wait list for like mid-december it's crazy
02:03then bib gourmand i don't even know if i'm pronouncing that right i'm assuming that means
02:09like honorable mention or something like that or or you know yeah i don't know if that's what it
02:15means but i believe that's what the concept of that is so there's a bunch of restaurants on there
02:20a couple in south boston cambridge brookline and more cambridge um and then recommended there's a ton
02:28there um and recommended i guess is well you know recommended and it's still an honor it's still an
02:35honor to have one of those to get a shout out recognition yeah yeah bib gourmand by the way is
02:41the award that recognizes restaurants serving high quality food at a moderate price ah so it's not super
02:48expensive because you're not going to get a a michelin star unless you act part of it is having good
02:54food yes but you also have to act a little bougie you have to be like well you can't just get in here
02:59walk-ins what are those you want to walk in go get a haircut if they had to monitor your everyday life
03:05what michelin star would you get oh my god for me for what i cook and what i make like are you on
03:13your perfection every single day oh my god come on who it is these restaurants yeah yeah my michelin
03:20star would be for discipline this son of a bitch just wakes up like a damn robot
03:24which i literally do um i actually went to uh the cheapest michelin star restaurant it was in hong
03:32kong not in the bosnia when i was in hong kong yeah it's called tim ho won i forgot about that yeah
03:39did they have like uh what's the obviously because you know when you go to restaurants that get those
03:43awards they put it like posters or whatever on their doors no it wasn't even like a fancy place
03:49because there's like different locations but i think the one that i went to you it was almost like
03:54in a food court kind of oh what yeah it was delicious i i'm sure i have pictures in my
04:00in my phone really from it yeah and no complaints they made you feel great they took care it was
04:06delicious wow yeah wow they're like these pork bun oh my god i can still like taste it it's so good
