00:05Number one. Number one.
00:07John Oliver is slamming Donald Trump over his handling of the coronavirus crisis.
00:12After being off for a week amid the COVID-19 pandemic,
00:15Last Week Tonight with John Oliver returned Sunday and wasted no time attacking President Trump.
00:20Again and again, Trump has failed to give this crisis the seriousness it requires.
00:26Oliver further added that Trump is, quote, less equipped to deal with this historical moment than anybody in recorded history.
00:33The host cited the many times Trump has failed to act responsibly, such as his failure to recognize the pandemic earlier,
00:39his decision not to invoke the Defense Production Act to require General Motors to produce more ventilators sooner,
00:44and his recent comments that he wanted the country to open back up by Easter Sunday, April 12th.
00:49You could do a lot worse than one honoring the time that Jesus was supposed to say inside and didn't.
00:55Oliver also noted that Trump's mishandling of the crisis was severely costly.
00:59Because we wasted so much time that we could have spent preparing, the virus is now widespread.
