00:00Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are set to receive a special award from the people of Wales.
00:06The duo, the owners of soccer club Wrexham AFC, will receive what's known as the Dragon Award
00:11for promoting Wales and Welsh culture on a global stage through their hit FX series, Welcome to Wrexham.
00:17The award is set to be presented to Reynolds and McElhenney at the Wales to the World concert
00:21to be held in New York on November 14th.
00:24The event will showcase the very best of Welsh talent, culture and language
00:28the evening before Wales takes on the USA at the World Cup.
00:32Reynolds and McElhenney purchase Wrexham AFC, the world's third oldest professional soccer club, in February of 2021.
00:39The two previously chatted with The Hollywood Reporter about their purchase of the team and the fandom surrounding it.
00:44It's one of those sports that I understand now why it's the most popular sport on the planet.
