00:00So the current CME Award for Leader of the Year is Gillian Christian.

00:04How does that sound here in back?

00:05I mean, I am gobsmacked. I'm never quiet.

00:09This is like probably one of the highlights of my career.

00:13So it's pretty insane for me.

00:16And that's exceptional because, Gillian, I don't know you well,

00:18but I know that you've done a lot of things and fantastic things.

00:22And to say that is a big thing.

00:24How important do you think, I don't want to say how important these awards are,

00:27but to say that it's one of the most important things in your career,

00:31tell us exactly how you feel.

00:32Well, these awards are amazing.

00:34They're a showcase of everything on the Isle of Man.

00:37I've been to them every year for about 10 years, and I love it.

00:40I love the Manx music. I love everything about it.

00:43To think that I'm here and I've got this, it's just a bit crazy for me.

00:47And you look exceptional while you won it as well. That's amazing.

00:50I had three hours sleep last night.

00:52Oh, honestly.

00:54Committedly from the start.

00:55Exactly. But I quickly want to hear about CurrencyMe's perception on this

00:59because not every business has to sponsor an award, but businesses do.

01:05And I want to know why, because it's fantastic.

01:08Yeah, I think from a CurrencyMe point of view,

01:11sponsoring this award and knowing that Gill has actually won this award

01:15means a lot for CurrencyMe, who's a new business.

01:19And me leading that business, it's really important for me to be associated with that.

01:23Leadership is really tough, really, from a startup or from an existing business,

01:30from a multinational, but it takes leadership to do that.

01:33And I think Gill really demonstrates leadership across business,

01:38across the community and across her personal life.

01:40So for me, it's an award well won.
