The Utmost International Award for Teams Working Together went to Manx Care - In Your Shoes Listening Events.   The award was presented to them at this years Awards For Excellence on the Isle of Man.

00:00So, this initiative, tell me a little bit about it.

00:04Well, it's an initiative and a programme that helps service users give their voice to ManxCare

00:12and enables us to improve our services in an ongoing fashion

00:17and improves any gaps that may be in the service.

00:22And it's been fantastic all year.

00:24And how has the community impacted from that?

00:27It's given everyone a voice.

00:29It's given lived experience a voice

00:32and it enables us to identify things that we might not have done in the past

00:36thanks to the people that can give their feedback.

00:39And it's an honour to be part of it, yeah.

00:42And utmost, I mean, I must say, whenever I think...

00:46Because you're based now in the building by Port Jack.

00:48Correct, yeah.

00:49I've always thought it was a swimming pool.

00:51No, it houses 650 of our staff on the island,

00:54so we're the biggest private sector employer on the island.

00:56And why do you then think it's important to get involved with, you know, events such as this

01:01and support initiatives such as this?

01:03I think it just shows the talent in the Isle of Man.

01:06And, you know, we've been supporting it since the beginning of time.

01:09So, we always try and sponsor a category that we're passionate about.

01:14Teams working together with a team of 650 people is massively important to us.

01:18And my wife and my stepdaughter work for Man's Care,

01:21so I'm quite happy with the result, to be honest.

01:24Not that I kind of had a part to play in it.

01:27Don't worry, we know you have no part.

01:29It's just, it's a lucky chance, isn't it?

01:31Absolutely.

01:32But well-deserved winners.
