00:04your dad is... I'm joking, he's just there.
00:08Here's to love.
00:09Amazon isn't letting newly minted Emmy winner and Hollywood's new IT star,
00:15Phoebe Waller-Bridge, out of their sights anytime soon.
00:18The tech giant's Amazon Studios has just signed an overall deal with the Fleabag
00:21creator and star in which Waller-Bridge will develop new projects to premiere on
00:25Amazon's Prime Video streaming platform. The star is hot off a successful
00:29night at the 2019 Emmy Awards this past weekend, where both the series and
00:33Waller-Bridge won multiple awards for best comedy, acting and writing. Season 2 of the
00:38Amazon series nabbed six Emmys in total, including two creative arts awards and the
00:42big studio is definitely taking notice of all the success.
00:46Amazon Studios head Jennifer Saki spoke out about the exciting partnership with
00:50Waller-Bridge, saying,
00:59Fleabag has been a gift to our Prime Video customers and we're excited for what comes
01:04next from this brilliant mind to dazzle and delight our global audience.
01:08It looks like Amazon's making the right move by banking on the star to create quality
01:12work for the studio. In addition to her work for Fleabag, Waller-Bridge also created and
01:17executive produces BBC America's critically acclaimed show, Killing Eve, and executive
01:22produces HBO's upcoming comedic thriller, Run, starring Merritt Weaver. She also did a
01:27rewrite of the script for the forthcoming James Bond movie, No Time to Die. For more on
