Transcript
00:00Congratulations everyone. My name's Angela Bishop. I'm from Network 10 Australia.
00:05And because I've flown 14 hours to be here, I'm going to try to sneak in two questions.
00:09First of all, Phoebe, I understand you might be making a bit of a special donation to help out our plight with the bushfires tonight.
00:17And Andrew Scott, are you happy to have Hot Priest written as your epitaph?
00:22They're my two questions. Please answer Phoebe first.
00:25Yes, I think I can say this now.
00:27Yes, yes. Yeah, we've hatched an amazing plan with Ralph and Rousseau, who are Australian designers,
00:33who created this incredible couture suit, which is the most extraordinary thing I've ever worn.
00:38And we're going to auction it, and the money that is raised from it will go towards relief in Australia.
00:45So I think it's a beautiful idea from the team. So I'm really excited to be part of that.
00:53Thank you. Feelings mutual. Andrew.
00:57Next question.
00:58I'm only 43. I'm not really thinking about my epitaph just yet.
01:16Congratulations to all of you. Phoebe, we love the shout-out to Obama.
01:20Would you consider working with Netflix since the Obamas have a deal there?
01:25And if so, what show would you want to make with the Obamas?
01:33I think I've said quite enough about Obama this evening.
01:35Thank you very much.
01:37I think I've said quite a few words for this one.
01:50Hi, I'm Kate with Access Hollywood.
01:52Your show pushes the envelope a lot with humor.
01:54Obviously, the Golden Globes today is as well.
01:56Is there a joke that you found particularly funny tonight?
02:02Anyone?
02:03I think...
02:04Ellen's speech was hilarious.
02:05Yeah, Ellen.
02:06Ellen, you can talk more on the speech.
02:08Ellen, you can talk more on the speech.
02:09Ellen, you can talk more on the speech.
02:10Ellen, you can talk more on the speech.
02:11Ellen, you can talk more on the speech.
02:12Thank Mark.
02:12Yeah, hearing about Mark was really good.
02:14Yeah, that was great.
02:14Good to have that cleared up.
02:18Here, can we start rumors of a feud while Olivia Colman didn't get up on stage with you guys
02:24to accept the award?
02:26I think Olivia was waiting to hear whether she'd won or not, and I believe she has for
02:34The Crown, which we are absolutely thrilled for her.
02:38She had to stick around in the room, otherwise she would have absolutely come up with us.
02:45Phoebe, I'm right over here.
02:47I'm going to sneak two questions.
02:49First of all, all this awards momentum for Fleabag.
02:51Have you changed your mind about a season three?
02:55And if not, what's going on with the movie that you're writing?
02:59I haven't changed my mind about season three.
03:01Actually, it feels even more like the right decision the further we go along this journey
03:06because, I don't know, it was just a beautiful goodbye.
03:09And it feels like we keep saying goodbye to it every time we're on these stages.
03:13But it's been, yeah, it felt like the right thing to do, and so that's the case.
03:16And also, with the movie, well, you're just going to have to wait and see.
03:21I haven't got anything more to report on that yet.
03:24Sorry, it should be boring.
03:24For Phoebe and all the characters, when people come up to you, do they imitate you?
03:32Do they tell you jokes back or lines back?
03:36I have a few in my head myself.
03:40You know, how do they compliment you because your show and all of your characters are so unique?
03:46What are the kind of things you hear?
03:47Well, I mean, all sorts of things.
03:52People are so warm and lovely and incredibly polite.
03:54Fleabag fans, for being such a sort of out-there show, their fans are incredibly polite,
03:58always apologizing for coming up.
04:01But my favorite thing that happens is when I'm walking through London in particular,
04:04and I walk past, usually a woman, but it happens with men occasionally,
04:08and I just get this look, which is just...
04:10And it means, and we're both like, I know you and you know me,
04:16and that's, like, we're all the Fleabags, and that's the nicest feeling in the world.
04:20Anyone else?
04:22Yeah, people tell me they hate me a lot on the street.
04:26So, that's a good sign, I think.
04:32Phoebe, over this way.
04:34Margaret Crowe with KNX Radio.
04:36Congratulations.
04:37Just a quick question.
04:38Given the success that you had, and being a writer,
04:41any advice that you could give to any young writers out there?
04:47Yeah, well, mainly just write and write and write,
04:49and try and stay in the present as much as possible.
04:51Don't try and impress anybody.
04:52Or find one friend that you love and you care about,
04:55and write it for that person to make that person laugh,
04:58and make that person cry, because that certainly helped with me.
05:02And other than that, just...
05:04I mean, it's something I peddle out quite a lot,
05:06but write like you're not afraid.
05:07That's the thing I keep telling myself,
05:09and I have to remind myself every time I sit down to the computer to do it,
05:13and then the sort of naughty writing hand comes out,
05:16and that's when it all starts cooking.
05:18And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:18And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:19And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:20And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:20And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:21And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:22And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:23And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:24And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:25And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:26And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:27And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:28And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:29And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:30And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:31And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:32And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:33And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:34And that's when it all starts cooking.
05:35And that's when it all starts cooking.
