As Government has made decisions which will affect the hosting of carnival events at traditional venues like the Jean Pierre Complex, Hasley Crawford Stadium and the Brain Lara Cricket Academy, the opposition today quizzed the Culture Minister Michelle Benjamin on the other venues proposed, so as not to unduly impact the national festival.

00:24The Government of Trinidad and Tobago is committed to serving all stakeholders in the carnival industry.
00:32The Ministry of Culture and Community Development and the National Carnival Commission
00:37have identified suitable event spaces in the Queen's Park Savannah.
00:42Additionally, Mr. Speaker, we are in consultation with other stakeholders.
00:47The Ministry has identified suitable spaces and our door remains open to each and everyone in the industry
00:56that wishes to meet with us.
