00:00Entertainment and Ligurban will hold the LGU of Cebu City for the celebration of the celebration of Sinulog.

00:07The local government also invited President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to the Sinulog Grand Parade.

00:20The flags are now hanging around Basilica Menor del Santo Niño and the length of Osmeña Boulevard.

00:28This is an indication of the upcoming celebration of Sinulog.

00:32Under the executive order, the LGU of Cebu City will hold a liquor and entertainment ban

00:38within a 300-meter radius around the procession and parade routes on January 18 and 19.

00:45This is to ensure that the two most important activities of the celebration will be held safely.

00:52A coordination meeting has also been held with all agencies responsible for the Mother of All Festivals in the country.

01:01This is my first Sinulog as Mayor of the City of Cebu.

01:04And I want to make sure that it will be safe, it will be orderly,

01:08and that there's not much untoward incidents that could happen or minor ones.

01:13So we are really preparing, especially crowd control, which is a very big issue for us now.

01:21Because, I think, in an area where, should I say, there are a lot of people,

01:28this area now is where most people converge, right?

01:32Mayor Garcia also invited President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

01:36and some of the top officials of the government to attend the Sinulog Grand Parade.

01:42There is no confirmation yet.

01:43But I will be honest and truthful to tell you that I contacted the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas

01:49to ask for details.

01:51But they did not confirm also.

01:53We gave an invitation to the Senate President.

01:56We gave an invitation to the Speaker of the House.

02:01In the next few days, the Sun Oaks Ceremonies will be held

02:05for all the security personnel who will be deployed and will carry out tight security

02:11for the Sinulog Festival 2025.

02:15The organizers and the LGU of Cebu City also assured that

02:19while the number of tourists and devotees of Mr. Santoninio is expected to increase,

02:23they will be alert for the safety of all.
