00:00Hi, I'm Dylan Trussell, founder of Culprit Underwear.
00:06When I realized how bad synthetic fibers are for you, I realized I've been poisoning my privates with polyester since I was a kid.
00:12That's when I knew if I could make underwear that was softer than cotton, breathable, wedgie-free and actually cool, we could disrupt the entire category.
00:20When we launched, we made $100k our first month.
00:22Eureka moment, let's launch Lady Boxers.
00:25Boom! Our brand quadrupled overnight. Now we have 500,000 happy customers on an email list.
00:31Where's the revenue? Where's the valuation? I need some data, some numbers here. How are you supposed to make a decision?
00:39Well, look, full disclosure, I'm an investor in the company.
00:43Oh, no way!
00:44So, I would just implore both of you to make the proper decision.
00:50But isn't this elevator pitched, Tahani?
00:53Yeah, he pitched!
00:54Well, the pitch...
00:56I don't know anything about the company.
00:58Are you trying to send my man down? I mean, what are you talking about? Where do you want him to go?
01:03I'm actually not. I'm just saying it's elevator pitch.
01:05If you can't get your pitch out in the elevator, do you deserve to get up to the top floor.
01:11I love the brand. I like the packaging. It sounds like you've got a great business. This is outside of my wheelhouse.
01:17So, I don't think I could add a lot of value to it.
01:21Try those on real quick, and then I think you'll reconsider.
01:26We'll give you a rig. We can go to commercial or something.
01:28I love it. I love it.
01:31But unfortunately, I'm going to pass.
01:34All right.
01:36Every opportunity to get a chance to stand in front of investors is an opportunity to tell your story, and I think you've done it well.
01:42I'll be it. Went over a little bit during the elevator pitch.
01:46Gotta get this watch fixed.
01:47John is giving you great feedback. Kim is giving you great feedback.
01:50I'm an investor, so I'm a believer, and I look forward to the journey ahead.
01:54Okay. Thank you so much.
