00:00We're here at the Dallas airport and got word on the way here that Miko Ranton is not going to face

00:06supplemental discipline first hit on Alexander Romanov at the end of last night's 3-2 Islanders

00:13win over the Stars. That is a bit of a surprise. I assume that the league agreed with Glenn

00:21Golutson's interpretation of the hit. The Stars coach said that he thought Scott Mayfield's

00:28skates got tangled with Durantan and kind of propelled him forward but the Islanders are

00:34you can assume the Islanders are going to be pretty upset about that. They were after the game

00:42understandably pretty emotional about the play. Patrick Waugh called it disrespectful, said that

00:47when you see somebody's numbers everybody knows you have to lay off. Jean-Gabriel Pagiot said you know

00:54it's yeah the two points are great but you know that's that's our friend out there who who got

01:00hit and and appeared to suffer a pretty serious injury. We still haven't gotten word on anything

01:07specific other than that Romanov didn't have to go to the hospital last night which is obviously good

01:12news. You know he had shoulder surgery a couple years ago. He's dealt with kind of a myriad of

01:18injuries mostly upper body and it looked like his head kind of hit the glass first. It looked like

01:27his leg was maybe hurting as well. You know you don't want to speculate but obviously didn't look

01:37great so we are still waiting for word on that and may not find out anything until morning skate

01:44in Detroit tomorrow but um certainly wouldn't be surprised if um Marshall Warren or Travis Mitchell

01:50or somebody Isaiah George is uh is up from Bridgeport to help uh to fill in there.
