00:00Meanwhile, the U.S. Senate has agreed to order the Justice Department to release its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
00:08The move comes just hours after the House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved the measure in a 427-to-1 vote, sending the bill to President Donald Trump.
00:19Tuesday's vote follows weeks of debate among congressional Republicans and the White House over how to handle the Epstein files.
00:27Trump's ties to the late Epstein came under renewed scrutiny after more than 20,000 pages of documents were released last week, some of which mentioned the President.
00:38The White House has denied any wrongdoing.
00:40Earlier this week, Trump reversed his position and urged Congress to support disclosure of the records, following public backlash from many of his supporters.
00:50The bill requires Attorney General Pam Bondi to release all materials related to Epstein and his co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, no later than 30 days after the law is enacted.
01:02Those materials include internal Justice Department communications, flight logs, and information related to individuals connected to Epstein.
