The Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting officially opens in Moscow at Russia’s National Centre, with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin delivering the first remarks. Mishustin emphasised that the SCO is “an association of like-minded countries standing for a multipolar order,” calling for deeper economic coordination and the use of the bloc’s vast Eurasian geography to improve the quality of life for citizens. Leaders and delegations from member states are gathered in Moscow to discuss regional security, trade integration, connectivity, and the future of Eurasian cooperation.
