US President Donald Trump has thrown down a stark warning to the world, vowing that any nation doing business with Russia will face “very severe” sanctions. Speaking to reporters, Trump endorsed a tough GOP-led push in Congress targeting countries tied to Russia, hinting that Iran could also be added to the sanctions formula. The president’s hardline stance signals a dramatic escalation in US pressure on nations with economic links to Moscow, sending shockwaves across global trade and diplomacy.

00:00Okay, everybody, we had a great weekend.
00:05From an economic standpoint, our prices are coming down very substantially on groceries and things.
00:12They're already at a much lower level than they were with the last administration.
00:17And we worked on it this weekend, and you're going to see some of the items that were a little bit higher.
00:21They were lower than the last administration, but a little bit higher.
00:24We're going to have some little price reductions, and in some cases, some pretty good ones.
00:29They used the affordability word.
00:33The affordability is much, much better with this.
00:35And again, I go to Walmart and other companies, and in every case, it's about 25% that a meal,
00:44a Thanksgiving meal and surroundings are 25% lower than it was under the Biden administration.
00:50That's a big fact, and that comes from Walmart and others that do that.
00:55Okay, any questions?
00:56Any update on Venezuela, Mr. President?
00:59On Venezuela update?
01:01No, no update on Venezuela.
01:03The designation of that cartel associated with Maduro, does that mean that the U.S. government
01:10can target Maduro's assets or infrastructure inside Venezuela?
01:15It allows us to do that, but we haven't said we're going to do that.
01:19And we may be discussing, we may be having some discussions with Maduro, and we'll see how that turns out.
01:27They would like, they would like to talk.
01:30Mr. President, Representative Massey says he's concerned that the Epstein probe you are calling
01:35for could be a smokescreen to lock or leave the more vials.
01:40Is that the case?
01:41Well, I don't want to talk about it because fake news like you, you're a terrible reporter,
01:45and fake news like you, they just keep bringing that up to deflect from the tremendous success
01:51of the Trump administration.
01:53So a guy like Massey, his poll numbers are showing he's at 6% approval rating right now.
01:59And we call him Rand Paul Jr. because he never votes for the Republican Party.
02:04So they're using Jeffrey Epstein as a deflection from the tremendous success that we're having as a party.
02:12Mr. President, on Venezuela, you said they want to talk.
02:15You said Venezuela wants to talk.
02:16What does that mean?
02:17Senator Venezuela would like to talk.
02:19What does that mean?
02:20You tell me.
02:21I don't know.
02:21Do you want to talk to them?
02:23I would talk.
02:23I'd talk to anybody.
02:24I'd talk to you.
02:25Right?
02:26I'd talk to anybody.
02:27We'll see what happens.
02:28Senator Green says her life could be in danger because of the rhetoric.
02:32Her life is in danger?
02:34Who's that?
02:35Marjorie Taylor Green, she says.
02:37Marjorie Trader Green.
02:39I don't think her life is in danger.
02:41I don't think, frankly, I don't think anybody cares about her.
02:45Okay, what about?
02:46What about the affordability of health care?
02:47Are you negotiating?
02:49Are you negotiating with lawmakers on health care ahead of a vote next?
02:53I am negotiating with lawmakers.
02:56And I've had personal talks with some Democrats.
02:58I can't tell you who they are.
03:00I just don't want to do that.
03:01It's not fair to them.
03:03About paying large amounts of dollars back to the people.
03:09You know, this was my idea.
03:10It came up during that.
03:12You know, oftentimes, under times of stress, like the shutdown, you come up with great ideas
03:19that you wouldn't have thought of before.
03:21The insurance companies are making a fortune.
03:24Their stock is up over 1,000 percent over a short period of time.
03:28They are taking in hundreds of billions of dollars.
03:31And they're not really putting it back, certainly not like they should.
03:35So when I see this, and when I've seen this over the last pretty short period of time,
03:40I said, why do we just pay this money directly to the people of our country
03:46and let them buy their own health insurance?
03:49And, you know, I made that statement, and I made it a little bit cavalierly, but it sounded good.
03:55And everybody is picked up, including Democrats.
03:58And I am talking to some Democrats right now about doing that.
04:02People love it.
04:04We're going to take the money.
04:05Well, if it gets approved.
04:06We're going to take the money.
04:07We're going to pay it back to the people of our country to go out and buy health insurance.
04:13Now, they could put it in a health account.
04:15We could do it a lot of different ways.
04:17But they'd buy their own health insurance.
04:19They could negotiate price.
04:22And it's going to be locked, so they can't go out and buy a Cadillac.
04:26They could go out and buy health insurance.
04:29Mr. President, is it time for Congress to move legislation that puts pressure on Russia and puts pressure on Putin?
04:38Well, I hear they're doing that, and that's okay with me.
04:41They're passing legislation or putting, the Republicans are putting in legislation that's very tough.
04:49It's sanctioning, et cetera, et cetera, on any country doing business with Russia.
04:55They may add Iran to that, as you know.
04:57I suggested it.
04:58So any country that does business with Russia will be very severely sanctioned.
05:05We may add Iran to the formula.
05:07Yeah.
05:07Mr. President, Tucker Carlson recently had a front-league interview with anti-Semite Nick Flentes.
05:13What role do you think Tucker Carlson should play in the Republican Party and the conservative movement going forward?
05:19Well, I found him to be good.
05:20I mean, he's said good things about me over the years.
05:23I think he's good.
05:25We've had some good interviews.
05:26I did an interview with him.
05:28We were at 300 million hits.
05:30You know that.
05:33Look, I can't tell him.
05:36Should he be?
05:37Will you let me finish my statement?
05:39You are the worst.
05:40You're with Bloomberg, right?
05:41You are the worst.
05:42I don't know why they even have you.
05:46We've had some great interviews with Tucker Carlson.
05:49But you can't tell him who to interview.
05:51I mean, if he wants to interview Nick Fuentes, I don't know much about him.
05:55But if he wants to do it, get the word out.
05:57Let him, you know, people have to decide.
05:59Ultimately, people have to decide.
06:02The mayor of New York, I will say, would like to meet with us and we'll work something out.
06:06But he would like to come to Washington and meet and we'll work something out.
06:10We want to see everything work out well for New York.
06:13You yourself, I did it with Nick Fuentes at Mar-a-Lago a few years ago.
06:16What role should he play in the conservative movement?
06:18Well, I didn't know he was coming and he was with, as you know, somebody, Kanye.
06:23And Kanye asked if he could have dinner and he brought Nick.
06:26I didn't know Nick at the time.
06:28And he did.
06:30He came along with a few other people.
06:32He brought a few people with him.
06:36Meeting people, talking to people, like for somebody like Tucker, that's what they do.
06:40You know, people are controversial.
06:42Some are, some aren't.
06:44I'm not controversial, so I like it that way.
06:47In Venezuela, are you discussing options with Congress?
06:51Are you going to Congress to discuss potential options you're considering?
06:55I'd like to keep Congress involved.
06:57I mean, we're stopping drug dealers and drugs from coming into our country.
07:02And I actually told Marco and some of the people, our Secretary of State is doing a great job, by the way.
07:07I said, go to Congress and let them know we're not letting drugs come through Mexico.
07:13We're not letting them come through Venezuela.
07:15And let Congress know about it.
07:17We don't have to get their approval, but I think letting them know is good.
07:21The only thing I don't want them to do is leak information that's very important and confidential
07:26and may put our military at risk or whoever is doing, you know, CIA, military, et cetera.
07:33But I did say, I said, go and see Congress, see the representatives that we're supposed to be seeing,
07:40and be open about it.
07:41If they say, we don't want you to stop drugs from coming into the country,
07:45I don't think that would be good, yes.
07:48Are many other countries committed to helping the U.S. with Venezuela, or is all our actions still...
07:54Yeah, we have great support because it's all about drugs.
07:57Well, in Venezuela's case, it's about drugs,
08:00and it's also about thousands, hundreds of thousands of people that they've released into our country.
08:07And some are gang members from Trente de Aragua.
08:10Some are drug... many are drug dealers.
08:13Some are murderers.
08:14So in the case of Venezuela, it's about the prison population.
08:19Their almost entire prison population was released into the United States.
08:25Do you know what that means?
08:27Their prison population was released into the United States.
08:31And we're getting it out.
08:33We're doing an amazing job.
08:35We have a strong border now.
08:36We have everything.
08:37Our country's doing so well.
08:38But what the Biden administration did to our country should never be forgotten.
08:43And the single worst thing they did is allow 20 or 25 million people to pour into our country.
08:51People from prisons, drug dealers, mental institutions, bad people, gang members.
08:58To allow that to happen to the United States, totally unchecked and unvetted, should never be forgotten.
09:06What they've done to our country is a very big thing.
09:08But we are correcting it.
09:10We have strong borders now.
09:11We have a great economy.
09:13The prices are coming down.
09:15The Democrats like to use the word affordability.
09:18But their affordability was terrible.
09:21The problem with the Democrats, they lie.
09:23They do it so well.
09:24They talk about affordability.
09:26But I'm the one that's getting the prices down.
09:28As an example, they had the highest inflation in the history of our country.
09:33I have it down now to a normal level.
09:35And it's going down further.
09:37Thank you very much, everybody.
09:38Thank you so much.
