00:00A good tease for the rest of this game time you this TV thing's working out. I
00:05Got the best teammates in the world. That's what I'm certain of here is price
00:13Price how did he stay up after the hit from Daniel Hardy a
00:19Day he's got some electric ability in his return game. How did you withstand this? I don't know
00:26It's just a little minor collision
00:30Look at the tenacity of that
00:34Little run spinning off trying to make yards for his team
00:37Yeah, he's trying to give them some momentum. They could use a great drive here
00:42Get this team right in the game get their crowd back into the game
00:46Just gonna require a little surgical discipline see if they can pull together
00:49What's the heart? I can't care
00:54Oh
00:57Here's Jordan Mason who gets to carry up the middle
00:59Mace has a good drive start over him and he's still on his feet
01:03And he picks up eight well talked about getting Justin Jefferson going today and
01:08They've tried a little bit, but the offense is a hole. There's no fly zone, right?
01:13He's had eight different starting quarterbacks since 2020. It's a lot some injury playing a part of that with all the other quarterbacks
01:20Receiving yards per game is in the 90s with JJ McCarthy. It's in the 50s. He's at one touchdown the last eight games
01:25It's just not good enough because he has the most yards per game for any receiver in the history of the league
01:31They they can't win with him having 50 yards a game. It's just not the way it works. He's too good
01:39Looking deep gets hit as he throws throws into a crowd and it is all nearly intercepted again
01:45Tyreek Stephenson had a chance at it. He ran into Jaquan Brisker who now he seems like he's banged up
01:52Yeah, the Aaron throws a little bit from the protection
01:58Gets beat right away and that ball's got to come out when you feel that pressure
02:02You can't really step into that throw and obviously going to be underthrown when your
02:07Elbow hits the helmet of your own offensive lineman risker and Gardner Johnson right there
02:12Should have could've been another kind of easy interception for this defense that continues to take the ball away instead
02:18Stevenson is down hurt injury timeout
02:24It is not the man who commands the field beneath the stadium lights seems okay staying in the game and now back to the play
02:30Yeah, they tried to run the double move here on Stevenson
02:32They actually beat him and you got Jefferson running across so it's a little bit of dealer's choice
02:37Whatever you're gonna decide though. He's just got to pull the trigger a bit earlier than that
02:41You know the reason the arm gets hit is you're just holding on to the ball a little bit too long and
02:47Again, that's very normal for a young quarterback when you've thrown a few interceptions
02:51You get a little trigger shy and you don't want to pull the trigger quite as quickly
02:56And then it actually just leads to a few more issues as the game goes
03:00Here's McCarthy will try it again pressure in his face throws high for Jefferson and it's incomplete
03:10And his fourth down
03:12Yeah, this is the one
03:14Was a good accurate though. I don't mind this one at all JJ standing in the pocket finding Justin Jefferson
03:19Little bit high and JJ knows it
03:22He's got to make that one for his young quarterback
03:24And the young quarterback struggling and you got the all-pro receiver. He knows he wants to do his part and he's
03:30one of the greatest to ever put on a uniform for this Vikings at a young age and
03:35Kind of the likes of Chris Carter who we saw earlier in the game and Randy Moss my former teammate. He's right
03:41In that conversation if his career continues to go the way it's gone
03:46Duvernay on the return out across the 20
03:49And so the Bears will get it back up 16 to 3 and these Vikings Justin Jefferson their superstar just frustrated for him
03:57It's been a quiet stretch
04:01And this is a guy that never shows frustration. He's one of the true team leaders a real gem
04:07And he's got that C on his chest to kb right there that means captain and that means everyone's always looking at you and I think he takes that
04:14Responsibility so much. He's an emotional player. We're all emotional. We're NFL athletes. We want our very best
04:20We know that we're out there representing our family our friends our schools
04:25Everyone's always looking at you and you want to go out there and put on the best possible display you can every week
04:30And when it doesn't happen, you know, that's where frustration really sets in
04:33Now the bears with a real opportunity already up 13 in this game
04:44Williams sidearm throw over the middle and it's caught by durham smith who this time hauls it in as we go downstairs to tom
04:51Well a different set of emotions as you can imagine over here on the chicago sideline
04:55Caleb williams when talking to him this week
04:57He had said the biggest difference from a year ago to now is his body language understanding
05:02That people are looking at him at all times and that they have to feed off his vibe and his energy
05:07He has been consistently chirping on the sideline trying to get guys going after that last scoring drive still saying urgency urgency to get these guys going
05:18Yeah, Williams today 150 yards in the air
05:20Here's Manangai up the middle first down
05:22I just want to go back to jefferson for a second and talking about the two emotions tom told you kayla limbs
05:28Just because justin jefferson is like one of the nicest guys ever and he's always smiling
05:33Doesn't mean you can't be ticked off when things aren't going great, right?
05:36I think that's those are two separate things. Well, you have this
05:40Competitiveness about you and there's a pride of performance every time you take the field and the element with most receivers is there's a quarterback
05:48Receiver chemistry that needs to take place and he's got a little patience with his young quarterback and they're going to need to grow together
05:55End of the third for minnesota
05:57We love you
06:09Eller
06:09Good
06:11Day
06:13Day
06:20Day
06:24fantasy movies on tubi will be free forever so i'll be a goblin in a stinky fog forever forever
06:37oh no
06:38u.s bank stadium here in minneapolis you cannot build a prettier stadium than this it is just
06:46absolutely terrific you make it feel like you're outdoors the sun shines through you
06:50see downtown minneapolis and you're inside and 70 degrees ironically the vikings who have been so
06:57good in this building since it was built are one in three here this year and they got some work to
07:01do as we start this fourth quarter 16 to 3 bears and they've got it first and 10
07:06play fake
07:16williams looking around and finally drives ball comes out or did it they say he was down
07:23dallas turner gets the first viking sack of the day
07:27yeah first and 10 play action pass caleb's got to know that if it's not there down the field don't
07:35take the negative play but also don't take these hits those are a lot of big bodies in there
07:40turner turner coming in kind of always relentless redman who's again who's had a great season trying to knock that ball off i don't mind the first down play action pass i just don't want him holding on to it some point knowing the journey's over get out of your hands and get back to second and 10
07:56can't find anything being chased and keller williams throws it away and it's third long
08:07yeah solid coverage down the field by coach flores and they've hung in there pretty well
08:15they're trying all sorts of things to try to bottle up this run game because
08:19this passing game isn't super efficient either he's only completing 54 percent of his passes and
08:25coach flores has him coach flores has him in exactly the position he wants third and 11
08:30williams in trouble van ginkle brings him down two sacks on the series for this vikings defense wow
08:53great pressure
08:57by van ginkle
08:59down here on the right side have you ever seen a more viking
09:03looking viking
09:05than van ginkle the long hair they know when he's on the field
09:08does all the right stuff for this team can rush the passer drops in coverage in this time
09:14one of the very few guys i've seen all season get caleb williams on the ground it's hard you need like a
09:20suplex maneuver to get him down there but they did it twice first two of the game for the vikings
09:25and they forced a punt oh got a little pressure now it's price
09:30returnable
09:31price to the outside look out
09:36miles price inside the 25
09:39finally these fans have something to cheer about here today and the vikings set up after a 41 yard return
09:53i love all that juice price just taking the ball right between the hashes again feet never stutter
10:00picks a lane runs hard nobody gets him on the ground
10:04undrafted rookie making a huge statement
10:09and he did even on on the kick return where he got nailed i mean he's just
10:13kind of got this energy about him when the ball's in his hands he's trying to make a play and he made a huge one
10:20for this team and they're in need of it
10:22vikings were down 17 to 6 tom week one at chicago you mentioned it when they had the three touchdown fourth quarter
10:28long way to go but they're set up in good position to mason who waits for a block and gets it jordan mason
10:35shoulders down he's gonna pick up eight on first down
10:38football is such a game of momentum and sometimes when things aren't going right offense defensively
10:47and i would say the vikings defense has played very well today kind of withstanding some of the turnovers
10:52but their offense needs some juice and that return game can provide some juice with the way that it's
11:00performed today now you've got this offense it's got to go capitalize in the red zone
11:06stick with the run it's mason thanks to tackle jordan mason and touchdown vikings
11:17wow so much to like mason running hard on this open side off tackle but watch the all pro justin
11:37jefferson that's why you have the c on your chest because you're a captain and they demand a lot from
11:44you in the run game and we all know how great he is in the past game that's what a great team
11:48player is all about right there so we got a little juice here in minneapolis it all started with miles
11:55price at a 41 yard punt return and then it set up jordan mason from 16 yards out vikings creep back in it
12:06but man you feel like he's gonna get a few yeah and this gave him life yeah it gave him so much life
12:12and just see it in his eyes look at that the kind of juice you can bring to a team just on
12:19these kind of game-changing plays they can be in the return game you could be undrafted you could
12:24contribute in so many ways to the success of your team what a great feeling for this young man out of
12:30indiana undrafted too all right so now bears will get it back from their 35 up by 6 12 33 to go
12:38and we'll see how caleb williams handles it we know about how good he's been coming back four
12:47comeback fourth quarter wins that's the most in the nfl this year how about trying to protect the
12:51lead and salt away a game yes with obviously plenty of time 12 and a half minutes left the offense
12:58and ben johnson's call sheet kind of has everything available
13:01they know that they're going to try to load up to stop this run it opens up some downfield passing
13:07opportunities for adunze and swift if they can run some play action and get these guys into the
13:13line of scrimmage just give it to swift here who makes a good run and a huge hole as well that's a
13:17heck of a start deandre swift's going to pick up nine and a half on the opener yeah and this vikings
13:23clear weakness for them all season has been stopping the run which is somewhat disappointing considering
13:29the investments into hargrave and jonathan allen this offseason they kind of were specifically
13:33made to fix that issue hasn't been obviously over 100 yards today but they really need to buckle down
13:39here in the fourth quarter try to get them into some must pass situations they're going to need better than
13:44nine yard gains on first and ten
13:46two
13:51jumbo formation again the run up to swift dancing around breaks a couple tackles a good run from deandre swift
14:04great run and not only has
14:06this vikings run defense suffered like we said earlier since the bye this bears rushing offense has
14:13been incredible they're moving things at the point of attack their combinations and their double team blocks
14:21with their offensive lineman inside toony dolman jackson
14:26they would love to just keep handing it off and marching the ball down the field
14:29they do it again to swift line on left side breaks another tackle oh deandre swift he's had a 9 on 11
14:43and now another nine yard run on this drive yeah they've got a lot of bodies up there they're just not
14:51quite playing violently and getting them off those blocks that's too much space
14:55for swift watch on the left side of this line of scrimmage look at that right there
14:59you just can't give them two and a half yards between
15:02tooney and the left tackle benedette swift's going to find that so easily
15:07need stauncher run defense playing more violently with their hands
15:13and this is where coach flores tries to take things into his own hands a little bit by
15:17forcing it and sending some rushers to try to
15:20slow down this run game with run blitzes time swift though is going to do enough
15:24just needed a couple and picks up a first down
15:27it just stayed on the ground with deandre swift this is quite an answer after the vikings touchdown
15:35coach flores looking down at his call sheet looking for
15:38some answers how do i slow this guys down they're not completing again a ton of passes caleb just
15:43slightly over fifty percent it's not the pass game
15:47it's this run game that's been pretty methodical swift averaging four six to carry
15:52really the only one
15:55but they were just going to keep handing it off until
15:58vikings can slow it down play action blitz coming gets picked up william strokes
16:03and intercepted oh man that was dangerous
16:06i incomplete excuse me not intercepted
16:09went off the hands of durham smite that time yeah they tried to take a fringe shot
16:15get the ball down the field with the receivers it was covered and caleb threw him the fastball
16:20wasn't quite ready for that
16:21kind of lucky it didn't come down
16:23in the hands of the opposing team
16:25it's the ones you always worry about as a quarterback we see the ball up in the air
16:28and it looks like a beach ball and you're like no no get on the ground get on the ground
16:31feels like it's up there forever
16:32forever
16:33run it again swift left side again staying with him he's
16:38running well inside the 30 down to the 27 they found something there on that left side
16:44running between joe tooney and theo beneded out there and swift loves those runs those are his
16:48favorites absolutely and you look at the coordination between dolman and tooney on that last play they are
16:54hip to hip shoulder to shoulder great combination blocks
16:58and when the offensive coach is feeling that johnson he's just going to keep calling it
17:04tyson bajin is in the game again the backup quarterback remember he was in earlier just kind
17:08of lined up at wide receiver he's going to do it again what do they have dialed up here
17:12third down just a straight game swift with a great spin but then he is bottled up
17:26they use him as a decoy but blake cashman wasn't having it and swift and the bears are stopped and
17:31now here comes the field goal team they're going to try and make it a two-score game yeah just a
17:37another third down run and they didn't go for it van gingko man on the spot and the rest of the
17:43purple jerseys there to kind of swarm and make the tackle great third down stop
17:48trying to hem them up but ben johnson knows putting the field goal unit on no reason to be
17:55overly aggressive in this situation still try to go up with the two-score lead to make this short field
18:00goal goal santos from 45 yards out kicks it up no good he missed it left
18:13he was three for three on the day and that one just pulled just enough and from 45 yards out it's no
18:19good and it stays a one score game
18:21up to 40 percent off on treats they want toys they love or food they devour all the best price
18:32gifts for any pet for low prices for holidays with pets there's chewy
18:43easy
18:47short of nothing big on weekend only on royal caribbean mom dad other david happy holidays
18:56david thank you mum david our son very nice other david also our son well
19:02you know exactly yeah that's good we're good two more days
19:08how many of you are owners
19:09We are the only community-owned team in the NFL.
19:231610 Bears.
19:24Hey, welcome to the booth.
19:25You know, you got the whole crowd waving to you.
19:27I love it.
19:28I know.
19:28These are all my people down here.
19:29My mom was born two hours from here, a small town.
19:33You know the towns where they say there's one stoplight?
19:36There was no stoplights in Brawlerville, Minnesota.
19:38I spent a lot of my summers here catching sunfish and northern pike and walleyes and fish fries.
19:45And I feel so much at home being here.
19:46So, you know, my cousins now get to root for the Vikings again now that I'm retired.
19:52Exactly.
19:52Now the Vikings down by six.
19:54Going to pitch and get that run game going to Mason by the touchdown just a couple moments ago.
19:58And so now Minnesota on offense, seeing what they can do.
20:02Obviously, turnovers have been an issue for them.
20:04J.J. McCarthy has thrown two interceptions and Bears run game.
20:08But field goal was missed to keep them in the game.
20:10And I'm fascinated to see how Kevin O'Connell handles this.
20:14And Stevenson showed you the starting corner.
20:17Not coming back in.
20:18So, Nick McLeod has taken his place on the outside.
20:22Came in for one play.
20:24Tried it.
20:24Went back out.
20:25So, it's McLeod's show right now.
20:27Second and seven.
20:28Blitz.
20:29McCarthy.
20:29Farside.
20:30Addison.
20:30Second drop of the game.
20:35Wow.
20:36Third and long game break time.
20:37Back to Carissa Thompson.
20:39Thank you so much, Kev.
20:39Giants-Packers.
20:40Jameis Winston in for Jackson Dart, who's out with a concussion.
20:43Takes it right up the middle for the score.
20:45Giants lead this one by one with six minutes left in the fourth, Kev.
20:49Oh, my goodness.
20:52How about that?
20:53Mike Kafkas.
20:55Yeah, the drop.
20:56He makes these throws.
20:57J.J. wants to see one of these go in the hoop.
21:00To his pro bowlers, Addison, Justin Jefferson.
21:05Tough situation is a tough blitz package that he's dealing with now in third down.
21:09Blitz coming.
21:10McCarthy stands in, throws incomplete.
21:12I'm not sure who that was to.
21:14Hawkinson was the nearest Viking, but there were a million bears in the vicinity, and it's fourth down.
21:19Yeah, the spacing was a little bit off.
21:23Hawkinson in the middle, and Justin Jefferson kind of running into that area.
21:27Didn't quite look coordinated from up here.
21:31Kevin O'Connell's kind of looking up at the scoreboard, wondering if there was a little incidental contact down the field by Noesul,
21:38but not getting the calls.
21:40I don't think he should have either.
21:41Oh, the Bears get off the field after the missed field goal, so no harm, no foul there.
21:49Duvernay, fair catch.
21:55Chicago will take it over.
21:57Curious, was that last pass tipped at all?
22:01Let's see.
22:02Oh, maybe off the little pass defense by Edmonds, right off the forearm.
22:10Yeah, definitely.
22:12Just enough to kind of throw off the trajectory a teeny bit.
22:19Another good play by Tremaine.
22:22What a year he's had.
22:24He's been great.
22:24He's raving about him and been a catalyst for this defense that's got so many turnovers and a great opportunity now for this offense.
22:33Going to milk this clock away and use this run game that's been so dominant since their bye week.
22:37Menunga in there in the backfield now.
22:41Give it to him.
22:42In trouble.
22:43And Redmond swallows him up.
22:45Ryan Flores told us he's been our best defensive lineman, and he's kind of come out of nowhere in his second year.
22:52He's been awesome.
22:54Played in the UFL.
22:56He was an undrafted free agent with the Panthers a couple years ago.
22:58He was let go and is his breakout year for sure.
23:02Yeah, definitely, KB.
23:03Just maximizing the opportunities.
23:05And what more can you say when you get to be an NFL player?
23:07What kind of appreciation for where he's at now and what he's contributed to this team?
23:13What a great story.
23:15See if he can keep making plays here for his team as he has all season.
23:21Second and long.
23:23Williams with time.
23:24Launches over the middle.
23:25Ah, target.
23:26No, Moore dropped it.
23:28It's loose.
23:28I don't think he ever caught it.
23:29No, it's incomplete.
23:31Oh, my goodness.
23:32Each team with some opportunities.
23:33And DJ Moore just couldn't hang on.
23:36Yeah, neither of these teams throw for great efficiency.
23:40But that one, DJ Moore, I've seen him catch that a thousand times.
23:45Great on-timing throw before DJ Moore even got his head around.
23:50That ball was in the air from Caleb.
23:52Now they've got to deal with their own version of a very difficult third-down defensive scheme.
24:05They've got to get to the 28.
24:07Williams throws underneath.
24:09They go to Lovell.
24:09Way to go.
24:10And he's going to get there.
24:11Wow.
24:12Oh, and he's still going.
24:14On a third and 13, they convert to the rookie tight end.
24:17So frustrating.
24:24They go into a bit of a prevent defense, which opens up the underneath part of that coverage.
24:28And it's an easy completion of Lovelland.
24:31But when he gets that full head of steam, and his shoulders point north and south, he's got enough strength.
24:38Poor tackling.
24:39Coming in there, kind of just flagging him in a huge third-down conversion.
24:45That's very frustrating for Coach Flores.
24:48Third and 13.
24:49Now it's Mononga as Williams trips on the exchange.
24:52And Mononga blasts forward.
24:54He's going to pick up nine yards.
24:56Okay, the Williams is a little slow to get up there.
24:58I think he's fine.
25:00Kind of laughing at himself.
25:03You've got to go back to that third and 13.
25:05I mean, this is...
25:07Yeah, poor tackling.
25:08Harrison Smith coming in there.
25:09And Metellus, two of their best defensive players.
25:12And that's what frustrates you.
25:13You can understand that from some guys who may be down the line.
25:16But the guys who drive the culture, who run the meetings, who run the defense,
25:21they're the ones that usually make those plays.
25:23They usually don't give them up.
25:27Three tight ends.
25:28Mononga, the carry.
25:29First down.
25:35Meanwhile, then you've got the Vikings sideline.
25:37They're trying to figure out how to score when they get it back.
25:39Trying to figure out, okay, Kevin's got such a great rapport with all of his players.
25:49He's still a young guy.
25:51Relates to so many of these guys.
25:52And he wants them to be player-led.
25:54Guys, you guys, you've got to take ownership.
25:56When it's game day, you players on the field got to go make it happen for us.
26:00A lot of coaches think, no, we're the ones that can solve all the problems.
26:03The players on the field decide the outcome of the games.
26:06Coaches continue to assist them.
26:07And Kevin does a great job, as well as Ben Johnson.
26:11Mononga again, pitch right, penalty flag flies.
26:15Bears have had the football for 15 more minutes than the Vikings have,
26:19which to me means you've got to give a lot of credit to Minnesota's defense
26:22for hanging in.
26:23Illegal formation.
26:24Offense.
26:25Number 58 was on the end of the line and uncovered.
26:28Five-yard penalty.
26:30First down.
26:30Second time they've had that penalty, Chicago.
26:32That's on Darnell Wright, their right tackle.
26:34So that'll move it on back.
26:35Yeah, I mean, I know sometimes, you know, stats depends on how you use them, right?
26:41Sometimes it doesn't mean anything.
26:42But today, the way that Chicago wants to play, that's exactly how they want to play.
26:46Yeah, well, Minnesota just has not been able to stay on the field on third down.
26:49But they've also turned the ball over.
26:50And that's the problem with this season.
26:53It's been lack of efficiency on third down and turnovers, turnover margin.
26:57It's the reason why the Vikings have been in these situations.
26:59But now the guy swarmed, he's going to lose yards as Van Ginkle was there.
27:03Eric Wilson, too.
27:05Next Sunday, how about a Fox NFL double dip?
27:08Starts with Justin Jefferson and these Vikings taking on Jordan Love and the Packers or other
27:12regional action.
27:13Then America's Game of the Week.
27:15We will be in Dallas, Tom.
27:17Jalen Hurts and the Eagles against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys.
27:20Some will see Falcon Saints.
27:21Check your local listings for the games in the area only on Fox.
27:27The Packers just have taken the lead on the Giants moments ago, we're told.
27:34That game coming down to the wire.
27:35So is this one.
27:36Bears in front by six.
27:373.42 to play.
27:39Williams with a lot of time.
27:41Can't find anyone.
27:43Now some pressure from Allen.
27:45Gets away.
27:46He can bake a cake back there.
27:48He launches it.
27:49It's out of bounds.
27:50And there's a flag down, I think, on the very far side of the field.
27:58No.
28:00Yeah, big hit here on Caleb at the end.
28:02You hold on to the ball on these play-action passes.
28:05It usually doesn't get better.
28:07And he does a good job throwing it away.
28:10And Dallas Turner taking a little love tap.
28:13Hey, just to remind you that I'm here.
28:17It's an absolute must for Minnesota.
28:19Minnesota, third and 19.
28:27Blitz coming.
28:29They set up a scream.
28:29A nun guy.
28:30A lot of room.
28:31Way to go.
28:32Inside the 45.
28:33And he gets a big chunk of it back.
28:35But it's still going to be fourth down.
28:38It's going to be fourth and about five.
28:40After a 13-yard game.
28:43Certainly makes it interesting enough now.
28:46Yep.
28:47Timeout.
28:48Minnesota.
28:49Their first.
28:50The 32nd timeout.
28:54So, the Vikings will call a timeout.
28:56It will officially call a fourth and five.
28:58And I'm curious if you're Ben Johnson, how you look at this.
29:00So, you could say, okay, we could punt it away.
29:02Try and pin it back.
29:03Minnesota's had a hard time moving the ball.
29:06Or you could say, keep the offense out there.
29:08And try and pick up this first down.
29:10And if not, Minnesota's got 50 yards in the half combined.
29:13And you rely on the D.
29:14Yeah, tough situation.
29:17I'd say not strong conviction either way.
29:20Obviously, a point where you can run your no-brainer play.
29:23Where you're trying to get the defense to jump offside.
29:26It would surprise me with the way that the Bears defense has played today.
29:31That you wouldn't just punt it back there and play defense.
29:35You're giving them an awful lot of field position.
29:38If you don't convert.
29:40It's kind of what this offense would need in order to score.
29:43Analytics say go.
29:45Bears will go.
29:46Fourth and five.
29:56Or maybe they won't.
29:58Probably the smart decision.
30:00You call that a no-brainer.
30:01You don't have a play called in the huddle.
30:05You're just telling your guys, hey, we're going to try to get them to draw them off sides.
30:08See if we can get the first down that way.
30:11Go through.
30:12Everyone's got their different mechanics.
30:13Shifts, motion, shotgun.
30:16But it doesn't surprise me to try to pin them back.
30:19Five-yard penalty.
30:21Fourth down.
30:22And see if they can go all the way down the field passing it with, you know, J.J.
30:27complete and only 41% of his passes with 74 yards this entire game.
30:31There is Taylor looking to pin Minnesota deep, high, and over, and good kick.
30:48Fair catch call for at the 15.
30:49So these teams met week one.
30:51And the game looked a lot like this game did, to be completely honest with you.
30:55J.J.
30:55McCarthy's first NFL start.
30:57They trailed 17 to 6.
30:58And they scored three times in the fourth quarter to come all the way back and hang on for a win in Chicago, 27 to 24.
31:06That's why this game is so monumental.
31:08If the Bears win, they'll jump into first place and see what the Lions do tonight.
31:11If the Vikings win, they're back at 5 and 5.
31:14And they're 3 and 0 in the division.
31:15A lot on the line in these last three minutes.
31:21J.J.
31:22McCarthy, it has not been his best day.
31:25But no one will care if he does well in the next 3-14.
31:28Yep.
31:28It's the reality of playing this position.
31:30You've got to shrug off what happened for the first 57 minutes of the game and lock in, laser focus on what you can do to bring your team back here in the fourth quarter.
31:39They're going to run it, start there.
31:41Aaron Jones and picks up a couple.
31:45One area that you can, you know, when you speed up the tempo and you go more no-huddle too, get the quarterback in a little rhythm.
31:53We haven't seen much of that today.
31:54So this situation here where you're kind of forced to do that could help J.J. find his rhythm as a passer a little bit.
32:01Here's Hawkinson who comes three over the middle and stumbles down and out around the 35.
32:05He gets up all the way to the 38 now as the blitz was coming on McCarthy.
32:10Yeah, this was a choice route to Hawkinson.
32:12He can go either way.
32:14He breaks in here on Edmonds.
32:15Excuse me on Edwards and then finds a lot of open space to the middle of the field, Edmonds.
32:23So many names.
32:24Tricky.
32:26Jones, right side.
32:28Up to the 45.
32:30He's got six yards as we creep down near two minutes.
32:34Yeah, might want to just let this milk this all the way down to the two-minute warning.
32:37You're in no rush.
32:39Because even if you go down and score a touchdown, they've got three timeouts and all they would need would be a field goal.
32:44Well, they're kind of rushing.
32:45Interesting.
32:46Second down and four.
32:47Four-man rush.
32:48Near side.
32:49It is dropped again.
32:50That's Hawkinson.
32:52The Vikings have had three big drops today, and that would have been a first down.
32:56The sure-handed Hawkinson usually is safety blanket.
33:01Ball came out of J.J.'s hands nicely.
33:03One foot in front of the numbers.
33:06Too critical of a situation to let that one come through your hands.
33:10Got to make up for it now on third down.
33:13That's what you do with your teammates.
33:15Hey, come on.
33:16Now I need one.
33:17You owe me one.
33:21Justin Jefferson, bottom of the screen, against Nick McLeod, who's in because Stevenson's hurt.
33:26Looking that way.
33:27Tipped in the air.
33:28Incomplete.
33:28And it's fourth down.
33:30Montez Sweat got his hands on it.
33:33And now we get the two-minute warning to think about it.
33:36Montez Sweat makes a play.
33:38Game will be on the line when we return, two minutes to go, from Minneapolis.
33:57Here's Justin Jefferson, primary player always, in the quarterback's read.
34:02See if he can shake free.
34:03Let me out, let me out, let me out.
34:05Oh, it's hard.
34:09Blitz coming.
34:10McCarthy sees it, throws.
34:12Carr for a first down.
34:13Addison hangs on, and the Vikings stay alive.
34:18Yeah, just nothing special.
34:20Just drives off man coverage.
34:23And McLeod not tight enough on the coverage there at the sticks.
34:27They go quick.
34:29McCarthy over the middle, has a catch.
34:31Jefferson tripped up from behind, but still going to pick up about eight.
34:35They have plenty of time here.
34:37One-thirty left with two timeouts.
34:39Lots of time.
34:40Make sure everyone's lined up correctly.
34:42A lot of options here.
34:47In the middle again, Hawkinson catches this one.
34:50He's down to the 30.
34:51Well, just like that, the Vikings stay alive, and now they're in rhythm.
34:57Yeah, good catchable throw.
34:58Just lead him slightly in front of his numbers.
35:01Point him upfield.
35:02Perfect position.
35:0331-yard line.
35:04Plenty of time.
35:05Two timeouts.
35:07Brinks comes to pressure.
35:08Blitz is picked up.
35:09McCarthy sees it.
35:10Nearside.
35:11It's a nailer.
35:12He's got it.
35:14Down at the 15.
35:15Great job in blitz pickup.
35:21Watch Ham just stepping over on Edmonds, giving JJ all the time he needs.
35:28Nailer's like, oh, I didn't know I could turn it up.
35:31But you know what?
35:32You probably don't want to turn it up.
35:33You want to try to milk as much time as you can now that you're down in scoring range.
35:3656 seconds, two timeouts.
35:40The Bears, mind you, three timeouts.
35:41So if you score too quick, give them an easy opportunity to go down for a game-winning field goal.
35:46But if you're the Vikings offense, you're thinking score touchdown.
35:49There's no, not thinking about your defense too much.
35:51No doubt.
35:52Here's McCarthy.
35:54Looking, firing end zone.
35:57And it's caught!
35:59Touchdown!
36:01Addison!
36:02Addison!
36:06Addison!
36:20Nashawn Wright just doesn't expand with the motion.
36:24He gets caught up with Justin Jefferson.
36:26And JJ throws a fastball to kind of the back shoulder of Addison.
36:31Clean read, clean throw.
36:33Great drive.
36:37This place is on fire now.
36:41For as tough as a day as JJ McCarthy has had.
36:44And it has not been easy.
36:45That drive, 5 for 5, 55 yards, including the fourth down conversion.
36:49So much reminds me of what happened in the first game.
36:52Not much.
36:53And Nashawn Wright just loses vision.
36:56Addison doesn't even look like he's much of a primary player on that play.
37:02McCarthy sees the space that he has and just rips an A-plus ball.
37:13Celebrating with your O-linemen.
37:14Nothing more I love than seeing quarterbacks and O-linemen celebrate together.
37:19That's pretty cool.
37:22Kevin O'Connell talking to his young quarterback.
37:24But this is far from over.
37:26The Bears have all three timeouts.
37:29They've got the comeback king in Caleb Williams.
37:31He's got the most fourth quarter comebacks in the league this year.
37:3450 seconds ago and they're down by one.
37:37It hasn't been pretty.
37:42But what a fun game.
37:44So fun, yeah.
37:45I mean, it's not a lot of penalties.
37:46I know it hasn't been as precise.
37:48But certainly a lot for us to show.
37:51And both teams aren't quite where they're at in terms of their program, where they want to be.
37:55They want to develop and grow into these kind of prolific organizations that set the standard.
38:02But they're on those paths.
38:04And it's a work in progress.
38:05And when you do it together in a divisional game, it's as exciting as it comes.
38:10Here's Devin Duvernay.
38:12Looks for a block.
38:13Oh, big room.
38:15Duvernay, look at this.
38:16Across the 50 and a huge return for Devin Duvernay.
38:22The all-pro returner delivers in the clutch moment.
38:2657-yard return.
38:29Catches the ball all the way to the left side of the field.
38:31Nothing slows him down.
38:32They get walled.
38:34And the safety gets kind of kicked out.
38:38Wilson does a great job pursuing him.
38:41But Duvernay, as he's done for so long, finds the space.
38:45Never stutters his feet.
38:50And then the kick in game.
38:51Frustrating when you're on the opposite side of it, as you saw for K.O.C.
38:57Huge, huge play.
38:59The Bears are basically five yards away from a field goal kick.
39:02Cairo Santos' season-longest from 54 yards, which he hit today.
39:07Here they'll run it to Swift, though, just trying to get there.
39:10And that's a good start.
39:11He picks up three.
39:12Thirty-seven seconds left, and the Bears will call their first timeout.
39:20Or make it the Vikings will call their second.
39:22Yeah, a lot to consider.
39:27And certainly a 36-yard line.
39:30You're definitely in field goal range.
39:31But the percentages go up.
39:33The closer you get, how conservative you want to be now that you're already basically in field goal position
39:38is what Ben Johnson is considering with every one of these play calls.
39:42See, DuVernay just kind of break into the perimeter and, yeah.
39:48I'll tell you, the ups and downs of being an NFL football fan, right?
39:51It's like you're high as you can be, and then the next second you're like, no way.
39:55Devin DuVernay mentioned the All-Pro returner.
39:58He had two career kick returns, and he was seconds away from his third.
40:01But that one may be enough to win it.
40:05We'll see.
40:05Thirty-seven seconds ago.
40:07Jumbo formation.
40:14They're going to run it to Swift.
40:15He gets swallowed up for a loss.
40:18That is a big time for a play like that.
40:21Great job on the counter play.
40:29When you end up pulling plays like you see Tooney pull,
40:32you leave kind of a large hole there for the defender, Ingram Dawkins,
40:39to get through right to the Swift in the backfield.
40:44Kind of a little risk-reward to those plays always.
40:47Pulling guards allows for a lot of penetration.
40:49In that case, look at that chant.
40:55With the Gjallarhorn.
40:57I love it.
40:58Give you 20 bucks if you could spell Gjallarhorn.
41:00No chant.
41:01That starts with a G.
41:01I know that.
41:04Third and eight.
41:08On the fringe of field goal territory.
41:17Swift gets it again.
41:18Big hole for Swift.
41:20Now he's in business.
41:21Down near a first down.
41:23I think he's a half yard short.
41:26And we'll see if the Bears are content with that
41:29or if they'll try to run another play to get closer.
41:31It looks like they're content with it.
41:33Yeah, they still want to go to fourth down.
41:35There's nothing the Vikings can do to stop the clock.
41:37They'll just run it down to below five seconds
41:40and call their first time out.
41:41Yeah, that's right.
41:46I was thinking that was third down.
41:47So fourth down.
41:47They're going to take a timeout and set up the kick.
41:51And so it is Santos who today hit his first three field goals,
41:55including a season-long 54, but missed from 45.
41:59That was wide left earlier today.
42:03Good snap, good hold, and just tugged it a little bit.
42:08How about these Bears?
42:10Trying to win the third consecutive game
42:12with a last-minute comeback win.
42:15Now it's on the foot with Cairo Santos.
42:22To win it or lose it.
42:24Santos puts it up, and it is good!
42:47The comeback kid, Chicago Bears, do it again!
42:53Finding ways.
43:18Santos, it looked like he might have tugged it a little to the left again.
43:21But it straightened up, hit it really solid,
43:27and a little walk-off field goal, division win on the road,
43:32a lot at stake.
43:35And Santos comes up clutch.
43:39There it is.
43:40Oh, yeah, pump the fist.
43:42You deserve it.
43:42How about that?
43:43Devin Duvernay, that kick return set it all up
43:46just when it looked like the Vikings were about to repeat week one.
43:49Devin Duvernay, the monster kick return.
43:52It sets up a couple of runs from Swift.
43:55And then Cairo Santos pokes it through.
43:58And the Chicago Bears are 7-3 and in first place in the NFC North.
44:04Wow.
44:05What a finish.
44:07Bonus covers.
44:07Panthers and Falcons will come your way next
44:09with Jason Benetti, Brady Quinn.
44:12Bears win walk-off style.
44:14What a game.
