03:41that he put out there got some attention this week aaron andrews yeah justin this week posted i need
03:46to get back to year three jets of course that was the season he was offensive player of the year and as
03:51he told us i was just on a different level well this year has been different for the wide receiver
03:57you know he said when i came into the league i had a veteran quarterback i didn't have to work on my
04:02connection and i didn't have to be the leader that i am this year now he's trying to have patience with the
04:08process of bringing this young quarterback jj mccarthy along staying in his ear giving him the
04:14confidence all while he's trying to make plays kev and win games which of course is the most important
04:19thing for justin jefferson very humble very direct quotes from him this week which we appreciated yeah
04:25i spent a lot of time with him he is something else by the way impressive aaron getting through that in
04:29the middle of the skull champ without a stumble that is good stuff all right so this should be fun here
04:34today the vikings won the toss and they will receive you don't see that very often in today's nfl so
04:40they want to make a little statement first big divisional till nfc north and here we go
04:48price going to let it bounce all the way in the end zone but that's a mistake because you're going to
04:52get it on the 20. so they'll start deep in their own territory and we will see jj mccarthy and look we
04:59saw jj mccarthy two weeks ago in person he was amazing in a win at detroit but it's only his fifth
05:05start there's still some ups and downs tom yeah naturally there's going to be some inconsistency
05:10what is not inconsistent is his competitiveness and intensity but he just needs after this opening
05:16script which he's done a great job of in the few games that he's played is just keep it going
05:22throughout the game not to overthink things and if justin jefferson mentioned that coach o'connell
05:29mentioned that just need him to settle in go through his progression show some poise in the
05:33pocket and make accurate throws start here with aaron jones trying to get the run game going and jones
05:40with a solid run is going to pick up four behind this offense and look jj mccarthy's been out he
05:45missed a lot of time with a high ankle sprain the offensive line has had injuries they've been banged
05:49up they're starting to finally get healthy they're hoping to get back their starting center ryan kelly next
05:54week but we know this that skill position group right there is really good it's it's tremendous
05:59it's it's a great skill group but it does come back to this offensive line and how they can protect
06:03and open holes in the run game because if you can't get off to a good start on first and second down
06:08today will be extremely difficult on third down against this really tough third down defense jones
06:13again looks to scoot outside and well played by the bears maybe a yard that time but edmunds was there
06:19along with tyreek stevenson this defense from dennis allen look they've allowed some big plays they do
06:25have some holes but they are the best at taking the ball away and that's why they've been able to
06:28succeed yeah statistically nothing really to write home about but they are getting the turnovers which
06:34is really saving them and they're very good on third down they've got a third down snap coming up here
06:39they challenge this offensive line in protection every third down they're a little backed off here these
06:44linebackers mccarthy near side adam thielen makes the catch gets decked but he held on and that's good
06:51enough for a first down wow what a grab from adam thielen all reliable back in minnesota this year and he
06:57moves the chains yeah that was definitely a high level of difficulty right there mccarthy
07:02with one of these vaunted fastballs we've seen quite a few of those slightly behind him and right can't get
07:07there in time got to cover those sticks that's where those balls are thrown a lot of the time on third
07:12down for those chicago defenders i would expect them to pressure the next third down yeah
07:21jones picks up a couple so maybe a commitment to the run game with you know kevin o'connell who's
07:29done an amazing job here fourth year couple playoff trips for him and tom the run game when they've
07:33run it has shown good promise but some of these games they've been behind they haven't had an
07:37opportunity to run it as much maybe as they'd like yeah there's definitely efficiency to the run
07:41game but they just don't get to call a lot because some of that is you're behind in the game you got
07:45to throw it a lot and when you're not converting on third downs they're just not on the field so the
07:50run volume is not up even though when they do run it they're pretty good with their yards per carry
07:55and the bears struggle in that department too
08:01carphy underneath hawkinson set up a tight end screen has some blocks hawkinson barrels his way out near the
08:0840 and put them about the 39 so it'll be a third and maybe less than two
08:14pretty good low risk play called there and you've seen it early in the game trying to get jj comfortable
08:20he's done well like i said in the opening script and i can tell early the way kevin o'connell is just
08:24trying to ease him into the game a little bit when you take the ball to start the game you just kind of want
08:29to get want to get the juices flowing you know let everyone feel good get a few touches to aaron jones
08:35now hawkinson touches it they can get a first down here this sets up some of those downfield
08:39opportunities this offense has been lacking kind of like a layup line so you want to go through the hoop
08:44give me a few of those bear show blitz they're going to hand off to aaron jones and he's got
08:50enough for a first down they go with the run against the blitz it worked and another first down this nfc
08:57north as we said tom it's really close right now chicago and detroit same record lions beat the bears
09:03lions play philly tonight but green bay has struggled recently we've seen the vikings if
09:08they win today they're three and oh in the division so they are this is a huge game and they'd be right
09:12in the mix big for both teams get to november you get these games in division means so much but
09:22it's a lot to play for a lot of play fake mccarthy blowing it up the rifles one deal and he had a
09:28seven minutes incomplete for jordan addison had his man but a little underthrown that time yeah you go
09:33about six plays into the game and then all of a sudden you want to uncork one there's a post corner
09:38addison runs toward the post and then back to the flag great stick it's just not really on the same page jj's
09:45got to put a little more arc and pace on that ball lead him out there to the open field that would have
09:50been a big one jj knows it you work so hard with the runs early in the game to set up those play actions
09:59those are the ones you got to hit to stay in rhythm back to the run good hole for jones and another
10:06solid run up the middle he goes aaron jones to the 48 is going to pick up seven ben johnson what's he
10:13done for the bears in his first year it's he's turning this thing around i mean it's pretty impressive
10:18they won six of the last seven games after starting the year all went to and i think
10:22you know some people say well the bears their schedule's been you know relatively easy who
10:26cares for the bears to win games and be in it in november that's that's what you're talking about
10:30yeah what a task and he deserves so much credit for turning around this franchise and one of the big
10:34markets that's been starving for a winner for a long time he's got them playing well
10:38on third and three mccarthy here's that again jefferson sailed it way high and it's incomplete
10:49wow a couple bad misses from mccarthy on that drive
10:54yeah they had everyone kind of pressed up into the line of scrimmage really nice route wide open now
11:00sewell gets underneath that throw a little bit which definitely gets
11:04in mccarthy's way good hit there they've got to be efficient on those easy throws that are wide open
11:14got to find ways to connect
11:17expect more accuracy time on this punt team they've changed personnel a couple times and they get everybody
11:24out there play clock winding down and they get it off so right gets it away duvernay calls fair catch
11:32and does it amongst the crowd at the 10. so vikings miss a couple opportunities bears and
11:38caleb williams will have it when we come back
11:42love that and tell you what you know since that 0-2 start and he and the bears both playing well he's
11:48had some really good moments and he's been the comeback kid four fourth quarter comebacks best in
11:53the league including last week when he did it against the giants yeah definitely settling into this
11:58offense and his chemistry with ben johnson he's a fun guy to watch there's a lot of great things
12:02that he does with his arm and his legs yeah they're going to get into deandre swift's legs and nothing
12:07doing theirs has played well by minnesota so this offense behind caleb williams tom and you look at
12:14the line you know they made some changes at the bye namely you know left tackle theo benedict comes in but
12:20i know you think that that line overall is starting to gel and play better they made a huge investment
12:25with dolman and tooney and jackson and it's paid off as since the bye ranking i think second in the
12:30league in the run game which has really opened up so much of their past game explosives leads them
12:36to the third ranked offense in the league right now here's williams to throw pressure right in his face
12:41spins around penalty flags multiple williams still looking throwing it away but there's multiple flags around
12:48the corner of that time eric wilson who has been a demon at linebacker had big time pressure
13:00holding offense number four that penalty has declined the result of the play it's third down
13:06yeah deandre swift coming in here trying to block wilson but he gets him around the left
13:11kind of breastplate caleb spins out of it once and then out of it again it's a little bit of a
13:16houdini back there in the pocket with his escape ability tremendous athlete just buying time we're
13:23going to see a lot of that today but i like the relentless pressure there by the vikings defense
13:27yeah wilson's been awesome third in the nfl and pressure rate from linebacker third and nine here
13:35williams looking deep launching deep for odunze and it's incomplete a little too far
13:42with rogers on the coverage and the vikings force a three and out
13:47great opportunity just one-on-one man coverage you get your shots with your
13:52number one receiver on the kind of stutter go adunze's gotta buy a step and a little too much
13:59juice by these young quarterbacks balls popping out of their hands today you know early start here
14:03maybe a little adrenaline for these guys
14:08vikings defense doing the job
14:14now taylor from his own goal line this one looks like it's shanked
14:19and it still was going to get to midfield to take a great bounce well it worked out great
14:23didn't think he hit that exactly how we want it but got a pretty good result that time ended up a 54
14:28yard punt so scoreless early vikings get it back
14:46there are those who say the modern world has made us lose touch with places like this
14:51we say that depends on what you're driving
15:10bring me off of this room hard hits superstar players and hopefully we get a little of that
15:15but today scoreless each team had the ball once and now the vikings get it again with jordan mason
15:20getting his first care of the game right up the gut he goes that's a good run gonna pick up seven
15:25yards on first down i know for minnesota right they want to use the run to set up the play action game
15:30so important just for this offense in general to establish the line of scrimmage because that's
15:35all these games are being won up front and they know that if they can run the ball and stay ahead of
15:39the sticks then they've got easy opportunities against this very good third down defense part of the challenge
15:45with this viking offense they've just gone backwards way too much last week eight false start penalties
15:49just puts them behind the sticks and gets them all out of rhythm here is the play fake some pressure
15:54from sweat mccarthy lets it go oliver makes the catch but he's going to lose yards has played really
16:00well cj gardner johnson i know you're familiar with his work playing against him in the day such a polite
16:08defender always just so courteous to the quarterback
16:10well i'll tell you what he's giving this bears d a real jolt you know they've had some major injuries
16:16in the secondary with gordon out and jalen johnson the number one corner out and so they bring him in
16:22a couple weeks ago he's got three sacks already so it's more than any other defensive back in the league
16:25that's in two games well he has really helped
16:29third and seven bears fake the blitz mccarthy lets it go deep out of the hands right there for addison
16:43vikings have had some golden opportunities deep early and they have not converted oh just a killer you
16:49finally mccarthy sees him downfield he's got addison on the out and look at the middle of the field wide
16:55open jj an a-plus throw oh and addison that's just a walk-in touchdown i don't know maybe he doesn't with
17:05his t-shirt being grabbed there right on the coverage
17:09unforced errors again plague them a little bit early very frustrating for everybody when you're not
17:15executing the way you're capable right it gets a booming punt wow i think it's way up there and it's
17:21going to take a bear's bounce into the end zone on into the end zone it goes and out for a touchback
17:27the bears will come boy this is a golden opportunity right in the hands of addison is usually so good
17:32there scoreless game
17:37better because we've gotten more consistent that's been part of this turnaround in chicago another huge
17:43part that man right there caleb williams who said it's about belief we have it right now between
17:47players and coaches figuring out where we can go together we'll see where they go on this drive kb
17:53yeah no doubt time and when did they have look they're six and three here's manung guy who gets
17:56a call out of the backfield and he's going to pick up about three yards and that is truth right tom
18:01everything you read with the bears they're six and three but their schedule who cares they were six and
18:06three yeah you can only beat who you got on the schedule and they've figured out ways to do that and
18:11hasn't been always the prettiest way but winning is winning and you put yourself in four quarter
18:16games and i think what i love about this bears team is the turnover margin we talk about it so
18:22much they're so good at it right now if they can just keep the turnover margin neutral and get to a
18:28fourth quarter game they feel they have the clutch players in their locker room to deliver when it
18:33matters no doubt gonna slam it out here to bird and he gets swarmed immediately for nothing's gonna lose
18:38a couple first game break let's say hi to carissa thompson hello kevin giants packers jackson dart out
18:44with a concussion jamis winston in as today's starter hands it off to devon singletary for
18:49five yards out giants up early seven nothing on the packers kevin so uh carissa thanks so no brian
18:55dayball he's let go mike kafka is the interim head coach and jamis winston you don't know the results
19:01gonna be there's gonna be fireworks in that game i can guarantee it a little like our game exactly here is
19:07williams pressure in his face throw deep has dj moore and he overthrew him oh man there have been
19:14receivers running open but no one can hit the big shot just yet no they did a good job finding them
19:21open the one on a what we call a cheetah cadence when you snap it real quick for the defense is ready
19:26dj moore kind of gets lost by the defenders and he's open but overthrown
19:31wins the leverage downfield he's probably can't believe he's open by that much
19:39and those are the ones that we got to hit qbs between the quarterback receiver and we saw it with
19:43the with the vikings it's all about throwing and catching sometimes you throw good they drop it
19:48sometimes they're wide open and can't make the play here's price
19:54it's seen the solid return from the rookie takes it up to the 40 where the vikings will have good field
20:01position well i'll tell you what each team has had a couple early opportunities but no one
20:05hitting the deep ball just yet so we're scoreless in minneapolis my moderate to severe crone symptoms

20:30and it's aaron jones right up the middle who gets popped there but not before he's got a five yard game

20:42the bears so sewell gets another start and you know we told you about jalen johnson for chicago the
20:49other number one corner they're afraid maybe he'd be gone for a long time he started practicing so
20:53they're hoping next week or two they could have him back on the field that would be enormous
21:06quick throw outside get it justin jefferson who makes the catch he's got a first down that's a good
21:11way to get jets involved and move the chains yeah we call that a look past you just look out there
21:17there's a defender more than five yards off you give him a quick little nod and he knows i'm just
21:23going to turn around and accept that pass but it's nice on first on excuse me on second down okay that's
21:28a way to skip third down easy completion on second down get you a fresh set of downs gets everyone back
21:33in rhythm and that whole play call sheet is now at kevin o'connell's disposal again
21:37on a play fake mccarthy zips it and it's caught by jefferson in stride that was a beauty to jefferson
21:50down to the 31 he goes
21:56yeah winning aggressively and tight coverage on stevenson this is a drift concept
22:01play action fake the linebackers step up it creates a void in the zone
22:06behind everybody and allows jj to throw one of those fastballs
22:10paints it right on his chest and jefferson is like yep get me involved big fella i'm ready
22:16keep feeding me i'm gonna be open

22:29jones so slips through there's a nice seam aaron jones has a first down he made a man miss and it
22:37worked to perfection down to the 17 he picks up 14 on the run wow this is an outside zone to the right
22:45but it cuts all the way back behind the left tackle a really good flash cut block by hawkinson
22:52jones feels it and goes right through the back door this is such a slasher and this is the
22:59element of offense that he provides jordan mason that's not necessarily his style where you can
23:04start all the way on the right side of the field cut it back to the left side of the field but when you
23:08have someone as kind of agile as jones he can do that trying to do it again this time it's played
23:13well as booker nailed him running on that inside run so is sewell against his dennis allen defense and
23:21i'll tell you what you know about dennis and his background and i know how much respect you have
23:25for him playing against him all those years love him as a coach he's so details and discipline they're
23:2924th right now against the run not where he wants to be they're 26th against the pass
23:35but they're number one in takeaways and they're number they're number six in third down those are
23:40two good areas to be at the top of the lead he needs some of those players like kyler gordon to come
23:45back jalen johnson to try try to tighten up some of that past defense second and nine mccarthy
23:53looking for jefferson still looking throws over the middle and it is well complete aaron jones in a tight
24:01window hangs on for a couple yards we'll give him three yeah nice great job and pass protection
24:07by this offensive line which again there's been a revolving door by this offensive line up front kind
24:12of plagued by a lot of injuries guys just not having much continuity but they're standing in the pocket
24:18that gives the quarterback such a sense of comfort when you just know that you're not being pressured
24:24jj at this point at home with all the communication and all the kind of quietness in the pocket he's
24:30definitely has time to survey the field third and six four-man rush throwing corner jones oh close
24:40he got a hand on it nearly tipped it to himself but now it's fourth and six and here comes the field
24:45goal team uh one-on-one on the rail route you the running back jones is a great mismatch on sewell and
24:54just maybe three or four inches too much you see when you get that one-on-one coverage jj just puts
25:01a little more touch on that we call that a two ball teeny bit more arc it allows aaron to run underneath
25:08that and makes it a little bit of an easier catch if he can make it so here's will reichert from 31 yards
25:14out and reichert is perfect drills it through so the vikings get on the board 31 yard field goal from will
25:22reichert make it three zip minnesota
25:30and fourth quarter wins they got a little something you heard tom rinaldi say the only way to learn how
25:34to win is to win they're figuring it out and they're relevant ben johnson not surprising but he's done an
25:39amazing job yeah just bringing everybody confidence and i think what he brings is just a high standard
25:45and even as he said this week it's one thing to win but now we just gotta the process of winning is the
25:50most important thing and how we win is becoming as important as the win itself and i love that
25:55because that just sets the standard for everybody we have to live up to something and we have to play
26:00to our standard or else when we play the better teams we're going to get beat here's johnson on the
26:05return up to the 25 he goes where the bears have had two three and outs in their first two possessions
26:11yeah that's interesting right because obviously you take the win any way you can get it but that
26:14doesn't mean everything's perfect yeah and it's a new program because he's bringing in new defensive
26:18coordinator he again is bringing in his new offensive scheme there's a lot of free agents
26:23you bring in the draft picks and the first thing is all right guys we got to win and how do we win
26:27obviously we've got to battle our way through whatever circumstances of the game to get to the fourth
26:31quarter and then we'll figure it out and they've done that yeah now he's looking for more sustained
26:36performance over four quarters so he's not in those kind of cardiac caleb type situations in the fourth
26:42quarter i like that cardiac caleb it's worked trademark that one here is a ball is loose on the
26:49ground kicked way backwards and adunze goes back to jump on it
26:59yeah they get the weak side pressure by j ward the corner swiss like hold on are you going to give that
27:05to me he doesn't know it was just a simple handoff but the pressure by the corner on the weak side
27:13just throws off the chemistry right there with williams and swift and adunze he can't believe
27:20that he got on that look at him all the way from the far side of the field with the fumble recovery
27:27great effort but again second and 25 tough situation to pull themselves out of williams zips one over the
27:32middle oh perfect throw to adunze who's now a yard short of a first down a 24-yard laser beam to roma
27:40adunze well that's one way to do it recover the fumble and then get a little juice from that
27:46simple in cut runs up to the 30 just kind of breaks across in an absolute a plus throw
27:53that is a yamamoto fastball right there oh i like that painting it right on the numbers right in front of
27:59harrison smith coming in there for the big hit there's an injury though back where this play all
28:07started the left tackle theo benedit has done a really nice job they tend to him
28:14as a kid growing up in australia thinking about he might have gotten poked in the eye there says tom
28:18rinaldi all right after the 24-yard pickup three tight ends third and one they're gonna run it here to
28:25swift and he's got the first answer how about that they fumble they lose 15 and they pick up a second
28:30and 25 to move the chains yeah one aspect of them is just getting behind the sticks and that becomes
28:34very challenging to overcome but when caleb can make some of those off script plays which he's got
28:40capable of and that wasn't necessarily one of those you do pick up some of these chunks and i would
28:45describe this offense as more explosive than surgical than you just saw it in those last three plays
28:51whatever works you saw that theo benedit back in so he's just fine on the left side for the bears
28:57that's good news first and ten
29:02might be the final play of this first quarter
29:08williams spins away from pressure he's so good at that throws for swift and it's over his head incomplete
29:14pretty pretty amazing caleb williams was sacked the most by a quarterback in nfl history last year
29:21he has done an amazing job escaping this year and the all lines been much better too they've been much
29:25better protecting when they can and caleb has when he got out of the pocket obviously got the ball past
29:30the line of scrimmage and throwing these away but he does hold the ball for a long period of time and
29:36you'd love to see him play a little bit more on rhythm but one of those aspects of his game is a
29:40scramblers he can extend these plays and help some of their guys get open down the field now whether
29:45he hits them or not it's another story let's see how that goes here's swift pushing that left side
29:51out across the 40 up to the 43 which will take us to the end of this first quarter

32:55career but he comes into this defense and he's been the beneficiary of four interceptions on this
33:01defense one of the league leading totals tremendous year by tremaine give him a lot of credit for making
33:07that switch and taking advantage of the opportunity yeah four tackles already today here is mccarthy
33:12giving it to jordan mason and this is not a lot there but mason with a nifty little one
33:18turned nothing into something it is up to the 33 that time it'll be a third down and four again
33:24trying to keep these third downs manageable against a very good third down defense and
33:29when you get to about third and six third and seven you call that the danger zone there's a lot of
33:35defensive pressures that kind of come your way when you're inside of that third and five like where
33:39they are now that's where this offense needs to live you see all these linebackers at the line of
33:44scrimmage right now the entire offensive line is trying to figure out who to block how to set the
33:49blocking patterns you see him with change of play already they only rush four mccarthy over the middle
33:57jones tipped and that could have been intercepted by sewell and said it's just incomplete and it looks
34:02like a punting situation the answer these defensive coordinators showing you a lot of looks early to
34:07these young quarterbacks they do so many challenging things they get everybody up there and then they drop
34:11out like they did mccarthy does the right thing just trying to check the ball down
34:16and you got sewell and edmonds right there in the coverage
34:20got to just kind of keep your poise like jj did in the pocket when they drop out because
34:26sometimes you have some guys in the deeper part of the field that are coming open
34:29right punch it away duvernay racing up calls fair catch makes it out at the 27 yard line bears will get
34:47it back they trail it three to nothing here in minneapolis
34:52the chevy equinox is more than an suv oh and two and did not look so good and then they won two
34:57went into the buy and that's when ben told us you know what i took the training wheels off in terms
35:01of shifts and motions and the things that i gave the guys and it's showing not only in results in
35:06production but you think tom you know just motion before the buy 58 it was down near the bottom of
35:12the league now after the 73 which is fifth most so he's adding in a lot of different elements here
35:17just trying to layer in different parts of the offense to cause confusion on the defense and when
35:22there's confusion on the defense it opens up some softer plays for the receivers that's what he's
35:27going for blitz here william spins away how did he do that caleb williams now just going to take off and
35:32run oh my goodness what a play
35:39that was absurd they did the same thing on the previous play with ward blitzing he's got a free
35:45shot and you got to just settle your feet a little bit caleb is so elusive in the pocket that
35:51little one two with his feet spins out of it and he's got the leg strength and then he's got that
35:56deceptive speed and then coach boy get off the white gonna take those hits not as agile as those
36:04quarterbacks out there
36:11here is the andre swift with a nice cut and a nice hole and swift out across the 40. well if you're a bears
36:17fan look in recent memory haven't had a ton to cheer about but life's been good you know the beam
36:23chicago you get it what we're showing you here six and three it's their best start since 2018 so you
36:29love that how about total yards per game that's the most since 1983 and then they're running the
36:35football which is what ben johnson does 147 yards per game that's second best in the league they're
36:41scoring nine more points a game than they did last year i mean that is a monumental improvement
36:45none on the board so far today though as williams back over the middle he goes great catch by burden
36:52boy he snatched that out of the air to pick up a first down to the vikings 45. yeah just play
36:57action pass enables that with a scramble on first down avoiding the negative play then they run it on
37:02second down now again you come back to your play action passes because you run it and that is an
37:08absolute strike look at the whip on that ball the way that ball's rotating in the air
37:14and burden snatches it out of his air out of the air great throw and catch bears go jumbo
37:21formation here they do it a lot with an extra offensive line
37:29swift right side shoulder down and picks up a quick six yards
37:36again one aspect of this offense to kb that we've when you talk about ben johnson what else has he done
37:41to improve up they they lead the league in explosive plays so last year i think they were 29th
37:4778 big plays this year you saw another big play on that throw to burden so what they aren't getting
37:53kind of surgically and methodically they're picking up in chunks of yardage and i love this offensive
37:58system when you're under center run and play action can create those downfield opportunities they had
38:04four more explosive plays all of last year than they do right now what a change swift now little stutter
38:11step but nothing there vikings played it well i mean you want to talk about how that has changed
38:17here's all you need to know i mean you can break it down any which way but we're talking about a 10-yard
38:21run or a 20-yard pass they were 29th last year their first this year chunks of yardage put so much
38:30stress on the defense they know that they know they got to back up okay we got to cover deep out deep
38:36outside parts of the field deep middle and that opens up some of the underneath things which this
38:40running game has taken advantage of dj moore in the backfield third down they pitch it to moore
38:47gets a couple good blocks and moore's got a first down creative play that time and he got blocks from
38:53swift and burden to pick it up against brian flores's d who doesn't look thrilled with that result
38:58no he doesn't and he i will say coach flo knows some of those run plays are coming on third down ben johnson
39:04even going back to his days in detroit never minded calling some run plays on third and less than
39:10five a because he was going to be very aggressive on fourth down but he also knows that's an area
39:14where you can steal a first down with a simple run get a crease on the edge and then now you get
39:20yourself back into a first and second situation with good execution
39:23you get an injury isaiah rogers who was in on that hits
39:46he's been an excellent pickup coming over from the eagles at cornerback and
39:55a big collision commit on the catch and he hasn't been a huge part of this passing game good accurate
40:01throw you expect these corners come up and make the tackles and that's what happens when you hit
40:05these big tight ends injury timeout let's go boys one thing i've noticed about football fans is they
40:14all talk like the players can actually hear them proud of you looking good keep it up but when you

41:20home that are watching on that last hit like well wait a second isn't that helmet to helmet but commit is
41:24not a defensive player correct exactly you said it big time collision but commit had already
41:31transitioned to a runner now he can protect himself and it's really just a collision rogers lowers his
41:37head commit lowers his head there is a rule in permissible use of the helmet but it's really tough
41:42on the officials when both players lower lower their heads like that who's initiating the contact
41:47i appreciate i said defensive i meant defenseless thanks for clarifying that dean
41:51first and ten play fake in a good way he's got love on the tight end wide open he makes the catch
41:58surging forward and he's going to pick up nearly ten we'll see but they put the ball down in there
42:02you're seeing a little of everything on this drive time yeah what a catch there by loveland this is
42:06exactly what ben johnson wants to be on this offense run the ball first stay ahead of the chains
42:11then you get to your play action passes like here to loveland they're mixing personnel groupings
42:17they're putting dj more in the backfield on third down conversions keep it moving keep it spinning
42:23makes it very hard on flores to dial anything up that he feels really consistent about
42:29second and one another play pass williams steps into it down the middle and it's incomplete
42:35had a chance to hit oduze in a tight window just couldn't do it brings up third and one
42:40and you're able to take those downfield shots from this fringe area when you're in this
42:47one yard to go situation that's a good time to do it second and one you know as a play caller
42:53i've got a third and one if you're the bears i got a fourth and one so let me just take a shot
42:57and try to gain it all in one chunk by firing a fastball in there to a dunze
43:11this quarterback sneak and an easy pickup for williams that time
43:19that's drive continues such an easy way to get that on the sneak i could see that from up here
43:23there's just such a large area right over the center that's just left exposed williams sees
43:28that look at this right here you just for one yard you're going to take that
43:32a million out of a million doesn't even get hit as he works his way through there
43:37gonna have to cover those up force him to do other things
43:48swift in trouble in the backfield gets out of it that's a good run
43:52he had some pressure right in his face after getting the ball inside the 10 he goes to pick up
43:56five more yeah just so impressed on this drive by the patience and the poise by everybody the
44:03play caller the quarterbacks finding his check downs the backs are finding ways in their gaps
44:08starting on the right side of the formation bending it back to the left side and they're always just
44:12kind of staying ahead it's kind of fatigues this defense and as a play caller you feel like you have
44:17everything at your disposal and everything's kind of working on this drive 13th play
44:21of the drive
44:26swift tripped in the backfield still fighting his way
44:31and he's going to pick up a couple bring up third down you know we haven't pointed out yet the vital
