Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) president Datuk Fadlun Mak Ujud has been appointed as Kuala Lumpur mayor effective Saturday (Nov 15), says Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Dr Zaliha Mustafa.

00:00Datuk Fadlun Ma'ujud has been appointed as Kuala Lumpur mayor effective Saturday.
00:08Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Federal Territories,
00:12Datuk Seri Dr. Zaliha Mustafa said the appointment of the 58-year-old Fadlun
00:17had received the consent of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia,
00:23in accordance with Section 4, subsection 2 of the Federal Capital Act.
00:28Dr. Zaliha said she is confident that Fadlun will continue the leadership continuity
00:33at Kuala Lumpur City Hall with integrity, efficiency and attentiveness to the aspirations of the people.
00:42She said Fadlun's leadership is expected to strengthen the implementation of the Chase City agenda
00:48to achieve a clean, healthy, advanced, safe and eco-friendly city.
00:53She said Fadlun holds a bachelor's degree in urban and regional planning
00:57and has more than 28 years of experience in urban planning, regional development
01:03and city management.
01:04Fadlun had served as Putrajaya Corporation President since 2022
01:09and Dr. Zaliha said during his tenure,
01:12Fadlun strengthened the implementation of the Putrajaya Smart City Blueprint
01:17and Green Transformation Plan.
01:20Fadlun will replace Datuk Seri Maimouna Mohammad Sharif,
01:23whose mayor post ends on Friday,
01:25where she will begin her new role as Petronas Property Advisor next Monday.
