The Tobago House of Assembly has been dissolved, paving the way for elections which must be held between January 12th and February 12th 2026 in accordance with section 22 of Act #40 of 1996.

Chief Secretary Farley Augustine made the announcement at the Plenary chamber shortly before 7pm on Wednesday.

00:22Members, the question put is that in accordance with Section 22.1 of the Tobago House of Assembly Act 40 of 1996, I beg to move that this House now be dissolved.
