00:00over what you see is it if you're watching early it may have been rough it may be better the the
00:06further you got to the game but what did you see look i i think uh i'm talking about the entire
00:10game here i thought nick cayley was absolutely elite y'all i mean and i'm and i said elite i said
00:14capital e-l-i-t-e nick cayley was elite this entire game from from having his guys prepared
00:22uh to the plan that he put together to the adjustments that they made uh the feel for
00:29what would work and kind of what to do and when did when to do it uh the timing of certain play calls
00:34um getting back to you know making a big time play and then and then pulling the reins back and getting
00:40back into some of the things that was working using your your quick game uh your mid-range game
00:47your your shots your your you know some some just so many different little intricacies here
00:53to offensive football that nick cayley just i mean he put it together i mean beautifully and
01:00it was never more apparent obviously than the fourth quarter but there there were some really
01:06really really good things well before um the the the scoring in the fourth quarter started um
01:15you know there there were some misses there were some obviously some turnovers or a turnover you're
01:20saying some misses that that that don't really fall on nick cayley yeah no no they don't if they
01:25don't fall on nick cayley whether it's the quarterback missing the throw or it's it's the quarterback or
01:31it's uh you know a little protection break down here there um it's it doesn't take away from what
01:38nick cayley was able was able to draw up and and and i'm gonna say this in the second half of this game
01:45was hands down the best offensive football that i've seen from a texans unit all things considered
01:53this year i mean that that and that was the best quarterback play that we've seen even over the
02:01ravens and the niners yes yeah yeah look and now look there there's um not not discrediting any of that
02:08but that that was that was good but but this this was great this was again i can't emphasize enough
02:15about you know the the opening you know the opener in a drive man you just take the hitch versus a
02:20soft corner right the the opening of a drive you just take the stack route to higgins which is a
02:2510-yard hitch to to start a drive or to convert it uh you know to convert a third down and um the the
02:32the uh the the taking the driving the football down the middle of the field to nico collins and
02:37fitting it in a tight window and everybody's always should have done that no it was a great throw it was
02:40it was a linebacker carrying underneath with his back to the quarterback it was a great throw it's
02:44a great catch the very next snap you come back and you you don't get overly excited and try to take
02:49shots in the end zone you just boom boom boom you go right back to taking the underneath stuff
02:52that is there um i mean it it was in the second half was absolutely tremendous offensive football
03:01and tremendous quarterback play um the overall game nick cayley was
03:08really really elite with how he just kept dialing up davis mills misses a corner throw to nico collins
03:18don't worry about it we'll come back we're gonna find another way to throw a touchdown right i mean
03:21it was just there were probably
03:23five or six plays in this game that were either touchdowns that we didn't see or we overthrew
03:30or throws that went somewhere else that would have been big time chunk plays had the quarterback
03:36seen it um i mean it was it was really good it started with the interception in the first drive
03:42i mean you got bang routes by nico collins and i think it was xavier hutchinson similar routes on
03:47both sides and you're getting an all-out there was something there too you're getting an all-out
03:51there's nobody in the middle of the field you're getting an all-out pressure if davis mills just
03:54throws the ball to the middle of the field either way i mean it is a huge chunk play if not a touchdown
03:59a hit your head on the goalpost touchdown but instead we throw a pick right the the drop by
04:04dalton schultz over the middle of field on third or was it third or fourth this fourth down wasn't it
04:08it was third now but i mean that that is a hit your head on the goalpost type of play you definitely a
04:13chunk if not a touchdown both of the overthrows on corners one of them looked like a misinterpretation
04:18between him and nico i don't know if nico looked over the wrong shoulder or or or davis threw it over
04:22the wrong shoulder but that was a the miss to higgins on the crossing route touchdown the miss to nico on the
04:27corner where he just overthrew it off the end of his end of his fingertips i mean these are all plays
04:31that went for not forget the ones that were the higgins touchdown the dalton schultz touchdown the
04:37the dalton schultz catch on third down to keep that drive alive the the the jalen noel throw over the top
04:42that was a big chunk play like i mean when you talk about an offensive coordinator being in his bag and
04:48an offensive coordinator
04:49like every throw it's not a tight window throw i mean you got throws in the ocean you had obvious
04:58reads you had quick throws you had easy throws i mean it was so what what was the clinic man what was
05:04the difference what did you see that was that they did that was different i mean especially not having
05:10cj not having whatever they were doing up front the issues they had what what was different from this
05:17performance which it sounds like this was clearly nick cayley's best performance it was definitely nick
05:23cayley's best performance and and look i i think i think some of it had to do with obviously the
05:28opponent you weren't you weren't facing a top five defensive front uh i rank this when you look at the
05:34texans wins i rank this as the most impressive win right i would have had it right there with the
05:3949ers after the game um just in a sense of quality win um obviously the jacksonville game
05:46probably be a little higher because of the way in which they did it uh in the fourth quarter
05:49comeback but this unlike the baltimore game this unlike the 49ers game you know those two games forget
05:59the titans but those two games the 49ers and the ravens i watched their defensive front and i was like
06:05this is embarrassing their general men you can't tell me that you don't have better dudes that'll try
06:11harder that'll go harder as depth on your team than this bunch right here i mean maybe that's
06:17because i watched amico and the depth they have over here and those guys play hard and and make plays
06:21regardless but i watched that film and i'll be honest with you i watched the film for baltimore
06:27and i watched the film for san francisco and i was
06:29i mean took the wind out of my sails because of how how poor the defenses were i did i didn't take a
06:38huge effort to to doubt those like those guys either were not very good at all across the board like
06:44just zero threat or they quit like baltimore those guys just basically quit and we're just getting
06:48pushed around like this was not a group that quit this was not a group that that was getting pushed
06:53around this was not like this was the texans imposing their will on a a good defense in this
07:00league not a great defense i'm not gonna i'm not gonna again i'm not gonna sound like they went in
07:03there and slayed the dragon but they went in there and and it was because the texans were doing certain
07:09things and doing it in a certain fashion that they put themselves in position to come back um now i'm
07:16not gonna point it up i'm not gonna see that i i saw the 26 points in the fourth quarter coming i mean
07:21there's a lot of crazy things that happen in in that part of the game from the offensive side of
07:27it but uh yeah but they got three legit drives that weren't turnovers they got they had three legit
07:32drives to score three touchdowns in that it's interesting because i'm watching that clinton i'm
07:38like because to hear you talk about nick was so impressive i'm watching i'm like man looks like
07:45davis is just making some just making some throws out there like the the schultz touchdown in the back of
07:50the end zone i feel like that was kind of like davis just kind of buying some time and making
07:54making throws right there but it's interesting you you look and you see as much davis making plays
