00:00November 1st made it one year since Dwight York was appointed head coach of the national team.
00:06His mission then and still now is World Cup qualification and while the task is great
00:11there's still a chance of completing the mission and York's right-hand man Russell Latopy assessed
00:16their progress. We've also established a playing style the way that Dwight wants to play. I think
00:26the way that suits our players better in terms of achieving results. So I think we're still a long
00:36way from where we wanted to be, from where we foreseen where we should have been you know in
00:47terms of points not necessarily in terms of performances but these two games coming up is
00:54is so important for us you know we get two results in these two games then it keeps that dream alive.
01:02And the little magician laments not capitalizing on our performances thus far. The four games we've
01:08played so far we've had one defeat and two draws. In my opinion I would I would say that I think we
01:17were the better team and the stats shows that we had the advantage in terms of chances and possession
01:26and in the two games against Curacao unfortunately we didn't we didn't put the ball in the back of the net
01:35enough times to win these games. That said he says there's a lot of other factors to take into account.
01:42There is so much things that comes into play you know from from the management to getting the players
01:51here with least traveling straight down to the the preparation of the strength and conditioning coach
02:01making sure that you work them hard enough but not too much with all the traveling. So there's a lot of
02:08thought that that goes into everything and then if it goes to the playing side of it where we're talking
02:15about the philosophy how we are we maintain possession how we play in the in the offensive third
02:23how we play in the middle third how we play in the defensive third if we want to play out to the back
02:28so there's a lot that goes into it. As for Thursday's match against Jamaica the former TNT
02:34captain listed his three keys to success. I think the key to this game really would be would be being solid
02:44at the back taking our chances and and I want to mention to our fans as well you know their support
02:51is vital we need that 12th man to be to be motivating the players you know and I think if if we can if we can
03:00have that then it it you know it gives the player um that that extra that extra mile they can they can go
03:08you know so um we plead into the fans again to come out and and support the team. Terence Clark TV6 Sport
