00:00Uh, okay. O'Hearn, Carlos Santana, Luis Arise, Paul Goldschmidt, Reese Hoskins.
00:07Which name or two names in there intrigue you the most?
00:13I'd say O'Hearn. Is that fair? Where are you at? You're making a face.
00:19No, in terms of production, it's fair. I, I think I didn't really know what question I was asking you.
00:26So I think you interpreted it as who are you giving the deal to?
00:31Yes. Like who's going to make the most money? So O'Hearn is the answer. I think I am fascinated to see, and we've talked about it.
00:38I'm fascinated to see how Luis Arise market. Oh, I mean, I have no idea what that guy's, it might be one for 15.
00:46It might be three for 60. I have no idea what it's going to look like, but O'Hearn, I would bank on having the most production.
00:56Like all of those guys were ready to sign a one plus one. I would give O'Hearn that deal so quickly.
01:03I think Arise is another player that we've talked about it. Everyone talks about it. Everyone understands the player that he is now.
01:09Unless, you know, you, you, I don't even know what the example would be, but unless you have never opened fan graphs and still check like, you know, the newspaper for the standings.
01:21Like, I think you understand that, that release arises is a flawed player, but at the same time, this is another one of those instances where everyone's focusing so much on how flawed he is.
01:31We have our comment section, the live show right now, a rise minimum wage. I hate our eyes. He's become overhated. He's going to put the bat on ball.
01:38And Jeff Passon made this point too. And I actually agree with it. Like he's become overhated. There's players that like, I think if you had Lisa Rai is just rebranded.
01:48Um, and this was the first year we saw of him and he put together the year that he had, which wasn't great, but you say that guy's hitting free agency.
01:55Look at some of the underlying numbers. You know, what, you know, what do you think? I think a lot of people would say, Oh, this guy's worth taking a shot.
02:02You know, let's see what can happen here. I mean, it's such a leap at the ball. It still wasn't above average offensive season.
02:07I just, I don't know. I think it is, it is a situation here where we forget that he is a guarantee to give you above average offense.
02:15He's a guarantee to, to consistently put the ball in play. And I know that, how much does that, is that value? That becomes a different conversation, but it's more than zero.
02:24And I just, I don't know. I feel like he's a guy that has become a little bit just, just underrated in general. I hate the defensive limitations.
02:33I get it. A slap hitter at a premium power position that may also have to DH. I get it.
02:37But there's a lot of teams that he just makes their offensive situation rosier. Like again, the pirates, why would you not like the Rockies?
02:48He might be the best hitter of all time, but all of these teams, I know you're saying like, Oh, these are bad teams.
02:53These are teams that I think should be comfortable giving him multi year, like two years. You, you, you put a rise in Pittsburgh for two years.
03:00He's going to make you better. How much that becomes the question. Colorado, same thing. I think, Oh, it's not just those two teams.
03:07I think there's seven teams that he would objectively make them better. And he just becomes a little bit overhated.
03:15So then it becomes, is one of those seven teams going to give him a two year deal? I think the answer is yes.
03:20And we will see Luis arise playing for one of those teams. Is it a world series contender?
03:24I have no idea, but we shall see. But when you look at a rise compared to a Carlos Santana at this point,
03:31I think I'd prefer a rise just as a natural plug and play in your lineup. I look at a rise versus a Reese Hoskins.
03:37How healthy is Reese Hoskins? I have no idea. We'll see. I see it as more of a toss up than I think we're giving Luis arise credit for.
