01:39So we've seen the start perform.
01:41But what's the challenge of passing one of these electric bikes?
01:45Well, that's what we're about to find out.
01:47And the urgency needs to be really, really high for Shane McElrath.
01:50Because if he spends too much time with Hicks, Anstig's going to be gone.
01:54And he can just lock in and cruise it in.
01:55So I think these next two laps for Shane are really, really important.
01:59If he can get by.
02:00Oh, I thought he might have a shot at it there.
02:02But he needs to make the move right now before Anstig gets away.
02:05Lopes and Thompson hang on to fourth and fifth.

02:15But I've got to tell you guys, the 460 of Michael Hicks.
02:18He's from Missouri in the United States.
02:21He is a multi-time arena cross champion.
02:24This is the highest level of racing that he has performed at this level.
02:30He's got a former world champion in front of him.
02:32He's got the reigning world champion behind him.
02:34And he's completely holding his own on a bike that is new to this level of racing.
02:40You can't underestimate what that is and what the Stark is achieving with Michael Hicks turning the throttle.
02:48Michael Hicks, very underrated.
02:50If you've ever watched him race, fortunately all three of us have had the opportunity to call many of his races.
02:55This young man can ride the wheels off a motorcycle.
02:59And it's taking everything Shane McElrath has to figure out how to get around him.

03:03And when he is confident, he's pretty lethal.
03:06And Jeff, you're right.
03:07At this stage, we haven't seen this version of Michael Hicks.
03:10You put him on a arena cross track and he's dominant.
03:12He knows it.
03:13But look who he is between.
03:14These are two really credentialed supercross riders.
03:17And he is unfazed by the moment.

03:19And so some of the talk tonight that I've given sort of my analysis is that is the Stark, can the Stark be as fast through the whoops as the gasoline engine bites?
03:33And Hicks, oh, has just given up the spot.
03:37Yeah, he did.
03:37He gave up second place to McElrath.
03:39But he comes back through the whoops.
03:40He's got the outside line here.
03:42But McElrath pulling away.
03:44And now Hicks makes the big mistake of looking over his shoulder.
03:48And that's where Enzo Lopes is going to close in from.

03:52Hicks has found a way to make that bike go across the whoops really, really well.
03:57So he may have neutralized what maybe conceptually is maybe the weak spot.

04:08So we're going to get a chance to see him go side by side.

04:17Shane McElrath is also one of the best riders in the whoops on a 250.
04:21So it's not a perfectly fair comparison.

04:25So Hicks has got lopes that he's going to have to deal with.
04:28The Brazilian rider who is so excited to have a race in South America not far from where he lives in Brazil.

05:00You read Kosky told me he had the fastest lap in race one.
05:03So now he's going to have a free shot at it.
05:05Let's see if that speed is really there.
05:07And McElrath just set the fastest lap at a 55 flat.
05:12He was seven-tenths of a second quicker than our leader, Max Anstey.
05:17He's going to need everything he can to reel him in.

06:08It's a longer race.
06:10So if he can put a good one on the board now and have a great race three,
06:13maybe he sneaks his way back onto the podium for tonight's overall.
06:16I think Michael Hicks is trying to sneak his way back into the third position.
