00:00And we have a winner here to celebrate the 2025 Bake Off final.
00:06Superfans John Richardson and Oti Mabusi, plus Her Majesty Dame Proulix.
00:16And we're joined by all of this year's bakers, including, of course,
00:20our magnificent runners-up, Aaron and Tov.
00:30And this year's incredible winner, Jasmine.
01:00CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:03Hello and welcome.
01:05I'm delighted to say we're joined by the class of 25.
01:09CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:11Toy Man, Jessica and Natalia are here.
01:15CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:17And there's Toby, Hassan and Ian.
01:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:22And exciting news. Judging by this shot, Leighton, Nadia and Lesley
01:27have been auditioning to be the new faces of Matalane's spring catalogue.
01:31CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:37I've judged this show for nine years now.
01:40Wow.
01:41And this has been the nicest bunch of bakers we've had.
01:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:50What's been your highlight of this year's competition, John?
01:52It's good to be good at baking, obviously,
01:54but it's a sign you've got too much time on your hands, let's be honest.
01:57LAUGHTER
01:58No!
01:59I think truly competent, busy people with good lives
02:02come in week one, make a Swiss roll, slop it into a bowl
02:06and go home again.
02:07LAUGHTER
02:08Hassan is my star.
02:10CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
02:16I mean, I think I love the whole thing.
02:18I've never ever known what a long table cake was,
02:22and I was like, who can eat so much cake?
02:24Me.
02:25LAUGHTER
02:26So that was really exciting,
02:27but I think their personality is also shown through
02:29and it was really special.
02:30It just felt very personal as well.
02:31The table cake definitely smacked
02:33of a sort of end of the day after a few drinks.
02:35LAUGHTER
02:36We haven't got anything for the final.
02:37What if it was just massive?
02:39And the alarm.
02:40There is a bit of that, you know.
02:42It's been going for 15 years,
02:44to have to keep thinking of different things is quite amazing.
02:47I'd like to see that table cake standing up the other way.
02:51LAUGHTER
02:52There were a couple of moments when I wasn't sure
02:55whether I was watching Bake Off the Final
02:57or Bake Off the Musical.
02:59I'm doing American Buttercream.
03:01American Buttercream!
03:03LAUGHTER
03:04Half an hour to impress.
03:06I'm going to catch you.
03:07American Buttercream!
03:09LAUGHTER
03:11LAUGHTER
03:12Aaron's certainly got more chance of making it as a singer
03:17than he has as a wildlife expert.
03:20This is a unique competition
03:22in that I think most of the competitors
03:24would be as happy for someone else.
03:26Is that a wolf? Sorry.
03:27LAUGHTER
03:28Oh, God.
03:29What was that?
03:30It was massive?
03:31LAUGHTER
03:32I love those bits of film of the bakers' families.
03:37I was mesmerised by the number of bottles
03:39Tom's parents had managed to cram onto the drink shelf.
03:43That's even more than Prue's got in her dressing room.
03:46LAUGHTER
03:47No, it's not.
03:48Is it not?
03:49It's not, apparently.
03:51Have you got loads of drinks stacked up at home?
03:54Er, yeah, yeah, a fair few.
03:56Is this therapy?
03:57LAUGHTER
03:58Is that all right?
03:59There was a lot of crying, wasn't there, in the final?
04:01I expected the final to be a bit more,
04:03haven't we all done well?
04:04But it was a bit more...
04:05I cried at the end.
04:08Yeah.
04:09No.
04:10LAUGHTER
04:12Going into the final,
04:13Jasmine was summoning up all her reserves of energy
04:16for this one last push.
04:17Yeah, I feel like I need to just pull out all the energy
04:20I've got left in my...
04:22from my toes.
04:23Out.
04:24That was not English.
04:25I'm so sorry.
04:27LAUGHTER
04:28That's so sweet.
04:29Well, let's part the tent flaps one last time
04:31and remind ourselves...
04:33LAUGHTER
04:39LAUGHTER
04:40And remind ourselves what happened
04:42in the thrilling Great British Bake Off final.
04:45IN THE BEGINNING, THERE WERE TWELVE.
04:48IN THE BEGINNING, THERE WERE TWELVE.
05:01AND THEN THERE WERE THREE.
05:03IT'S SO EMPTY.
05:04IN THE BEGINNING, THERE WERE TWELVE.
05:06Aaron, Tom and Jasmine started with an iced finger bun signature.
05:12And Tom made a fatal error.
05:14I put citric acid instead of salt into the dough.
05:18The flavour isn't that beautiful.
05:19I'm really struggling with that bread.
05:21The technical was a Madeleine Tower, whoever she is.
05:25And this time Tom triumphed.
05:28Jasmine came last.
05:30The second spot we had.
05:31And Aaron was left disappointed.
05:33I can't believe I've never once got a first in tatnacot.
05:36In the incredibly stressful table cake showstopper...
05:39Oh, God.
05:41I've broken the bowl.
05:42Aaron's apricot let him down.
05:44The apricot is just not strong enough.
05:47While Tom gave Jasmine a good run for her money.
05:50You have the style.
05:52And finally you have the substance as well.
05:54Ugh.
05:55But after ten weeks of brilliant bakes...
05:58Oh, my God.
05:59...the 2025 Great British Bake Off crown went to...
06:03Jasmine!
06:05CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
06:15Jasmine's had a brilliant competition.
06:17Is she the best baker we've ever seen in the tent?
06:20She could be.
06:21I really think she is extraordinary.
06:23But what she has more than anybody else,
06:25and has had all the way through,
06:27is the right attitude.
06:29You know, she loves it.
06:30She enjoys it.
06:31And she doesn't panic.
06:33She's really calm.
06:34Knows what she's doing.
06:36And she's got the right spirit.
06:38And she's a damn good baker.
06:40Sounds like she'd be an amazing doctor as well.
06:42What a shame she...
06:43LAUGHTER
06:44What a shame she'll now be leaving the profession to bake cake.
06:46Yeah.
06:47Back to the signature ice buns.
06:49Here's Jasmine adding her apricot icing to the buns,
06:52using her fingers.
06:54I tried every implement at home,
06:56and it was the one that worked best.
06:58Hmm.
06:59LAUGHTER
07:00The problem with Jasmine being a medical student
07:02is that you worry where those fingers are.
07:05LAUGHTER
07:06APPLAUSE
07:08Would that put your feet in there?
07:12Yes.
07:13LAUGHTER
07:14Yes, it would!
07:15Because I think sometimes it's good we don't actually see
07:17how food is made, right?
07:18Because if I see fingers everywhere in my food,
07:20I wouldn't be touching it.
07:22But it looks delicious.
07:24As far as the final technical is concerned,
07:26you seemed a bit over it, Prue.
07:28It's going to be interesting to see how our bakers deal with this.
07:31Get this right, this could win him the bake-off.
07:33LAUGHTER
07:34APPLAUSE
07:35This is Aaron's last chance to win a technical, but he came second.
07:48Now, John, as a fellow perfectionist,
07:50have you got any comforting words to offer him?
07:53It's good to be a perfectionist.
07:54It means you're striving for the best,
07:56but you just have to accept you'll never be happy.
07:58LAUGHTER
08:00I'm sure he's taking that on board.
08:02Are you a perfectionist about dancing, Oti?
08:05About dancing, very much.
08:07It has to be the perfect one.
08:09Like you say, I'm just miserable all the time.
08:12LAUGHTER
08:13Never ever happy.
08:14But it's true.
08:15You want to do the best every time.
08:16I have to confess to not being a perfectionist.
08:19I don't think life's worth being so obsessed about perfection.
08:23I think we should just get on with it and enjoy it.
08:25If I mess something up,
08:27I would never throw it away and start again.
08:29I'd just eat it anyway.
08:31LAUGHTER
08:32Absolutely.
08:34APPLAUSE
08:36For their final showstopper,
08:38the bakers had to produce a table cake
08:41that was over a metre long.
08:43Which of the three table cakes was your favourite?
08:46Jasmine's, I thought it was creative
08:48and it had a lot of heart in it.
08:50I thought Tom's looked amazing.
08:52It all looked edible, the grass and everything.
08:54It looked like the Willy Wonka thing.
08:56When they walk in, you can eat anything.
08:57And it was wonderfully colourful.
08:59Yeah.
09:00Yeah.
09:01Yes, I think Tom's looked the best
09:02and Jasmine's tasted the best.
09:03The pictures looked so sad of you all,
09:05but it looked like you were at a wedding
09:07and no-one's turned off.
09:08LAUGHTER
09:09My favourite was when Tom's showstopper rendered Prue speechless.
09:14There's an awful lot of shots of me just chewing.
09:15LAUGHTER
09:16They're my favourites.
09:17They're my favourites.
09:18Yeah, they are.
09:19It's time to welcome this year's fantastic running
09:37There's a whole lot of shots of me just chewing.
09:40LAUGHTER
09:42They're my favourites.
09:44Yeah, they are.
09:46It's time to welcome this year's fantastic runners-up.
09:49It's the amazing Aaron and the tremendous Tom!
10:04Massive congratulations, all two.
10:06How does it feel?
10:08Relief, to be over, to be honest.
10:10But also, kind of bittersweet.
10:12Like, it's been great, it's been amazing.
10:14Yeah, yeah, I would say so.
10:15I'd say week nine was my most terrifying moment.
10:17Once everyone saw me cry on TV five times,
10:20I think it's definitely downhill after that, so no.
10:22Everyone was so happy and cheery, and that's so what it felt like
10:24the entire time we were there.
10:25That was after your massive beehive, was it?
10:28Some have called it massive, some have called it grotesque.
10:31I may agree with some of those comments.
10:34But yes, that was after beehive gate.
10:36Yeah.
10:38Can I ask a personal question as a knitwear aficionado?
10:42As a handsome and younger man, is this a thing now,
10:44cardigans without T-shirts and shirts underneath?
10:46Because some of us can't carry that off.
10:49Yes.
10:51And if it wasn't, it is now.
10:59Yeah, it's trying to set a trend and it's trendy.
11:03Well, maybe.
11:04It's a very classy, nice view cardigan.
11:06Thank you very much.
11:07John, what did you say?
11:09I said I'd have very itchy breasts.
11:11I didn't actually get that correctly.
11:14Well, Aaron, let's just have a quick look at the start
11:17of your final signature.
11:19What about the timing of everything?
11:20Because obviously it's going to be critical today.
11:22Yeah, I haven't been able to do the whole thing in time.
11:25Great.
11:29But there was a reason why you hadn't finished in the time
11:32when you were practising.
11:34See, I blame Jasmine.
11:36Because during the macaron week,
11:38she had a fan that she used to dry her macarons faster.
11:42So I thought, oh, fantastic idea.
11:44Be more Jasmine.
11:45Get a fan and I can cool my bread faster.
11:48So I ran into the bedroom to get a fan.
11:50And as I did, I pulled the fan and pulled the door into my foot.
11:55And I was like...
12:00And I broke my toe.
12:01But...
12:02Exciting for your neighbours, though.
12:03If they hear that coming from your bedroom,
12:05they don't think you've broken your toe.
12:09Tom, you had some of the bakers to stay with you in Dorset.
12:12Yes.
12:13What did you all get up to?
12:16We locked Toby in a cupboard.
12:19I can't remember much else.
12:22You might be interested to know that a certain somebody
12:25was saying things about you and you're back.
12:27I hate to break up a beautiful friendship,
12:29but I found this bit of unseen footage.
12:32You said Tom was a softy.
12:33Tom is.
12:34Is he?
12:35Softy.
12:36Diva.
12:37And a diva.
12:38When we go for dinner, he's like,
12:39can I have a tonic water and can I have six wedges of lime
12:41and can you squeeze them and put them in, please?
12:43Every time.
12:45You better not forget.
12:46Or someone's getting fired.
12:47That's how he's like.
12:48That's Tom.
12:49That's Tom, everyone.
12:50That's Tom in a nutshell.
12:51That's the real Tom.
12:54It's true.
13:00Well, I didn't believe for a second that you're a diva,
13:03but then I remembered this.
13:05Tiny step to your left.
13:06Can we turn the wind around?
13:08Turn the wind around?
13:09Yes.
13:10I couldn't understand.
13:11I've listened to that every week and they refused.
13:14All I need to face the wind, come on.
13:18Panel, who do you think is the biggest diva out of you three?
13:21I'd quite like to be a diva.
13:23Would you?
13:24You get your own way, don't you?
13:25I'm a fiancé diva.
13:26Yeah.
13:27You know what I mean?
13:28You're the queen.
13:29You are her.
13:30You did call me the queen.
13:31You are a queen.
13:32John, are you a diva?
13:34I don't think so, but if you're going to be the queen,
13:35I hear there's a vacancy for a prince.
13:37So...
13:38CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
13:45Thanks, guys.
13:46After the break, Tom and Aaron will be divulging more secrets
13:49from their time in the tent back in a bit.
13:51APPLAUSE
14:04Welcome back.
14:05We're celebrating the Great British Bake Off final alongside
14:08Oti Mabuse, John Richardson and Dame Proulx.
14:11And runners-up, Aaron and Tom are with us.
14:18You've got handshakes from Paul in Biscuit Week
14:20and Biscuit Week and Chocolate Week.
14:21Yeah.
14:22But then you two did seem to hit a bit of a rocky patch.
14:25How did it feel from your side?
14:30That's a great question.
14:35I would say I definitely picked up in week eight.
14:37The comments suddenly did seem to take a bit of a different turn.
14:40I think he had a bit of, God dare I say, post-coital clarity
14:45around week six, where it's like he loved the idea of me
14:49and then he had a bit too much of me and realised I don't need anymore.
14:52LAUGHTER
14:53I can't believe you said that.
14:54I can't believe.
14:59Now, Tom, I think it's fair to say you weren't the tidiest baker
15:02in the tent.
15:03Fair.
15:04Yeah.
15:05Well, here's a picture of what your kitchen at home looked like
15:07during practice.
15:09That is pre the beehive, which is the worst it ever got.
15:12Not the tidiest.
15:13But thank God I have a boyfriend who does some of the cleaning.
15:15LAUGHTER
15:16Georgie says a round of applause.
15:18APPLAUSE
15:19So you both did tiramisu coffee cups, didn't you?
15:26The same way?
15:27Yes.
15:28Somebody copied somebody, that's all I'm saying.
15:30It's just the water in East London and...
15:32And the gay.
15:33And the gays.
15:34The gays.
15:35LAUGHTER
15:36The coffee cups.
15:38Perfect.
15:39Now, we found an exclusive clip where Tom was initially quite generous
15:45when comparing your takeaway cups to his own.
15:48I don't know if you want to notice, Aaron had some very similar
15:51looking coffee cups out there.
15:52But better, because he remembered that coffee cups don't have
15:55cardboard lids.
15:56Although, actually, some do now.
15:58Mine are the more sustainable option, that are cardboard through
16:01and through.
16:02He's gone for single-use plastic lids.
16:04Tuck-tuck.
16:05LAUGHTER
16:06So it went from positive to negative very quickly.
16:09Yeah.
16:10Yeah.
16:11I remembered, it's a competition.
16:12LAUGHTER
16:13Aaron, your flavours were always adventurous
16:16and made for some memorable bakes, like your Flowers in Paradise
16:20sweetbread or Earl Grey flapjacks.
16:23And your piano chocolate fondue, which won you the coveted Starbaker
16:29in Chocolate Week.
16:30Was that your proudest moment?
16:32Yeah, all three of those, I think, were.
16:35The sweetbreads because it was in memory of my friends
16:38and so it was quite important for me to do.
16:41As for the chocolate piano, I was just...
16:44I just really wanted to show what I could do with chocolate.
16:47And I was so shocked when I got...
16:50Well, you saw how shocked I was when I got to Starbaker.
16:52Because I thought it was either going to go to you or Jasmine.
16:55Yeah, it was incredible.
16:56And also, in the room, it was miles away from anyone else's, I think.
17:00It was so incredible and so detailed
17:02and, like, the curve of the chocolate, like, yeah.
17:05Like, it was untouchable.
17:06APPLAUSE
17:08And, Tom, your incredible bakes were inspired by your globe-trotting
17:17background, like your tartan Swiss roll, Icelandic landscape cake
17:22and your Hong Kong-inspired sausage plait.
17:25Yes.
17:26Which of those was your favourite?
17:27The landscape cake, I want to say.
17:30I was quite an inexperienced baker.
17:32And so, when I presented that showstopper and went well
17:35and Paul made that comment about it being a tom bake,
17:37not that I had any idea what that meant,
17:39that was maybe the first moment, especially having come last,
17:42in the technical where I suddenly thought,
17:44oh, maybe there's something good here.
17:47Who knows?
17:48So, that one was super special, for sure.
17:49Yeah.
17:50It was delicious.
17:51It was...
17:52Even now, I still remember the taste of it.
17:53It was my favourite one from that week.
17:55I was so jealous.
17:56LAUGHTER
17:57OK, well, let's have some questions from the audience now.
18:00It's over to our other Tom.
18:03Hello!
18:04Hi, Joe.
18:05Thank you so much.
18:06And I'm sure our audience today have got lots of questions
18:09for Aaron and Tom.
18:10Who would like to kick things off?
18:12Thank goodness somebody put their hand up.
18:16Yes, sir, stand up.
18:17What's your name?
18:18My name's Stuart.
18:19Stuart, lovely to see you.
18:20What's your question?
18:21Just want to say congratulations on getting to the final,
18:23to both of you.
18:24Oh, yeah.
18:25Fantastic.
18:26APPLAUSE
18:28And my question is, if you were able to bake for any celebrity
18:32in the world, who would you bake for and what would you bake?
18:35Ooh!
18:36Great question, Stuart.
18:38I know mine, hands down.
18:40It's Reese Witherspoon.
18:41Mm.
18:42For the Legally Blonde 3 premiere.
18:45Wow.
18:46So, if anyone knows her, I can start seeding her.
18:48I've got a tattoo for her.
18:50I'm a bit of a creepy fan, so...
18:52Mm.
18:53Maybe we stop there.
18:54That was a weird answer, wasn't it?
18:56Yes.
18:57How about Aaron?
18:59Aaron, yeah.
19:00Say something more.
19:01I always...
19:02I don't know, something about Cate Blanchett.
19:04I just love Cate Blanchett.
19:05Cate Blanchett.
19:06Yeah.
19:07Yeah, I just feel like Cate Blanchett would love a cheesecake,
19:09so maybe Cheesecake Blanchett.
19:11I can't chat.
19:12Yeah.
19:13Yeah?
19:14Great, great.
19:15You're welcome.
19:20Who's got another question?
19:21Another question down the front here.
19:23Hello!
19:24Hello, madam.
19:25Stand up, stand up, stand up.
19:26What's your name?
19:27Izzy.
19:28Izzy, lovely to see you, Izzy.
19:29And what's your question?
19:30My question is, what tips would you give to a person that would apply for Bake Off in the future?
19:34Good one.
19:35What was the thing that, kind of, you think finally got you in?
19:39Oh!
19:40Oh!
19:41What is it, Tom?
19:42What is it, Aaron?
19:43So, I think you shouldn't really think about what gets you in.
19:47You should just bake what you love and be yourself.
19:51And that's what people want to see when they watch Bake Off.
19:55In my application, I tried to fit an entire Christmas dinner inside a Wellington,
20:01like a beef Wellington.
20:03And I got to about, like, eight layers and realised I needed to do a second one to finish it.
20:07And I think, in submitting that, maybe they saw that they were going to get some real car crash moments like the Beehive.
20:13I think that may have helped me.
20:15But otherwise, everything Aaron said, I'm sure.
20:17Tom, I don't really understand what you're talking about.
20:19Because you said you filled in an application by making a Christmas dinner into a pastry.
20:26Yes.
20:27Why didn't you just fill in the form like everybody else?
20:29Strange, isn't it?
20:31But Jones had fun.
20:32Thanks, Izzy.
20:33Back to you, Joe.
20:35Well, Tom and Aaron, we've absolutely loved watching you in the tent.
20:44Massive congratulations, again, for making it all the way to the final.
20:48And I believe that Tom and John are on their way with the trolleys.
20:53APPLAUSE
20:54Oh, thank you, John. Thank you. Perfectly done.
21:05Now, OK, well, let's start with you, Aaron, shall we?
21:09What was the best thing about being on Bake Off?
21:12One was Noel referring to Paul as meringue tits.
21:16LAUGHTER
21:17It literally sent me to tears.
21:19And the other one was Prue's sculpted tarte dance.
21:22Oh, yeah. That was brilliant.
21:24APPLAUSE
21:26Well, look at us, just three alpha gays here on a baking show.
21:36Who would have thunk it?
21:37It must be a television first, I think.
21:39I know you didn't get a handshake, but you know what?
21:43Get over it.
21:44Because I hear it's not that great an experience.
21:47He doesn't even use hand cream.
21:49No.
21:50Oh, yeah.
21:51It's like wringing out a Brillo pad.
21:53LAUGHTER
21:54It's not about winning, it's about the fact that you were better
21:58than the nine other bakers who didn't make it to the final.
22:01LAUGHTER
22:02And I think that's...
22:04APPLAUSE
22:06Sorry I didn't see you there. Sorry.
22:10Oh, how embarrassing.
22:12Anyway, Aaron, always remember that.
22:14Please keep believing in yourself because we all think
22:17you're absolutely brilliant.
22:18So thank you very much.
22:20CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
22:27Thank you, Tom.
22:28OK, Aaron, let's enjoy a look back at your time in the tent.
22:31It is wild to be here at the competition.
22:34Woo!
22:35So my best work has been done in my pants.
22:37Keep me, that bit.
22:39LAUGHTER
22:40That's delicious.
22:41I mean, I do love a jiggle.
22:43Yeah, yeah!
22:44I think that's pretty faultless.
22:45Yes, Aaron.
22:46What a great tribute.
22:49I love you some chocolate.
22:52Star Baker this week.
22:53Whilst doing the jig and singing a song.
22:55Aaron.
22:56Oh, my God!
22:57Yeah!
22:58I'm just so happy.
22:59I'm just basking in this moment knowing that
23:01very few people will ever experience this.
23:03I get to be one of them.
23:05LAUGHTER
23:06APPLAUSE
23:07OK, and time for the grand unveiling.
23:09Oh!
23:10Oh!
23:11Oh!
23:12Wow!
23:13So there you are, Aaron, holding your coffee mousse cup
23:15with your beautiful sweet bread and amazing piano fondue.
23:19Well done.
23:22Oh, thank you.
23:24That was loud.
23:25So there you are, Aaron, holding your coffee mousse cup
23:28with your beautiful sweet bread and amazing piano fondue.
23:32Well done.
23:34Oh, thank you.
23:39Now, oh, Tom, it's over to you now.
23:42Tell us, tell us, what was your Bake Off highlight?
23:45Honestly, ten weeks of eating nothing but sugar and delicious food,
23:50I'm going to say.
23:51Mmm, the crash must be coming any time now.
23:53Oh, I would actually...
23:54It's that and the crying, I would say.
23:57I didn't cry for ten years and crying that much feels good,
23:59I would say, so, yeah.
24:00Oh!
24:01That's good advice.
24:02Let it out.
24:03As you say, it probably was a result of eating so much sugar
24:05that you were then crying.
24:06Just a constant rollercoaster.
24:07Seriously, the diabetes, yeah.
24:08Of course, Tom, you are the most alpha of us alpha gays.
24:12And you had us all in tears last week.
24:15He did, didn't he?
24:16With that 400-kilogram chocolate beehive that Paul hated.
24:23And...
24:24No.
24:25I'll tell you who didn't hate it, Tom.
24:27Bourneville.
24:28Oh!
24:29Those...
24:31Those...
24:33Those chocolate suppliers.
24:35Oh!
24:36They...
24:37They shut up shop and sent their workers on a cruise
24:41when they got your order through.
24:43In another first, you got Prue to say that the rum
24:47was too dominant in your iced fingers.
24:50I know.
24:51I mean, how much rum was there?
24:52Prue loves rum.
24:53I've seen her drink a pirate under the table.
24:55LAUGHTER
24:56But in all seriousness, you've been a fantastic baker
24:59and we wish you all the best with whatever you do next,
25:02which will no doubt be perfect, as well as everything else
25:05you've done, OK?
25:06So, well done, Tom.
25:07Thank you very much.
25:08CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
25:10Thanks for that.
25:15And now let's enjoy a look back at your time on Bake Off.
25:18Finally being here, it's like now all we have to do is bake.
25:22The flavours are great.
25:24Punchy, strong.
25:25I think it's delicious.
25:26Very light.
25:27So the whole thing together, it is exceptional.
25:29Well done.
25:30Stop it.
25:31This hand is for sale.
25:32Which means...
25:33Tom.
25:34Every week I have some sort of baking-related nightmare.
25:36Oh, my God.
25:37Tom, congratulations.
25:39Slick as anything.
25:40The overall look, I think, is amazing.
25:42I love that.
25:43I could eat a lot of it.
25:44Can we turn the wind around?
25:45Pretty much untouchable in everything you've done.
25:47Oh, stop it.
25:48This week, Starbaker.
25:50T to the O to the M.
25:52Yes, Tom.
25:53Yes!
25:54I couldn't be more proud of myself
25:55for standing here in the final
25:57to live a life highlight like this
25:59with your friends and family around you.
26:01I don't think it gets any better.
26:11So, Tom, will you please reveal all?
26:17Yay!
26:18So, Tom, there you are with your Handshake-worthy Biscuit Cottage,
26:21along with your four-in-a-row Tart and Magnificent Mushroom Bacharan Glacé.
26:26Aaron and Tom, everybody!
26:28CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:29Thanks, Tom.
26:30Thanks, Tom.
26:31And after the break, the winner of Bake Off 2025, Jasmine, will be here.
26:35See you in a bit.
26:36CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:37Thanks, Tom.
26:38Thanks, Tom.
26:39And after the break, the winner of Bake Off 2025, Jasmine, will be here.
26:43See you in a bit.
26:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:45CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
26:47Welcome back.
26:48I'm reliving all the action from the Bake Off final with Oti Mbuse, John Richardson and Bake Off judge Prue Leith.
26:56And now, will you please welcome the champion of the Great British Bake Off 2025?
27:15It's Jasmine, everybody!
27:18CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
27:21CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
27:24CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
27:30Firstly, Jasmine, a huge congratulations on being this year's winner.
27:36Now, your Bake Off stats are incredible.
27:39Oti, let's hear them.
27:41Winner of five technical challenges,
27:43two Hollywood handshakes,
27:45and you're a record-breaker.
27:47Star Baker five times and Bake Off champion!
27:51CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
27:57Now, I'm sure you've been asked this quite a few times,
28:00but how does that feel?
28:02I don't really know how it feels.
28:04Honestly, my dream was just to get on the show,
28:06so I was there in week one,
28:08and my aim was just kind of to survive to week two.
28:10So getting into the final, let alone winning,
28:12is just unbelievable for me.
28:15But not only did you do that,
28:16but you were doing also your medical exams.
28:19That is crazy.
28:20How did you get all of that done?
28:22Oh, my goodness.
28:23I basically became a social hermit for three months.
28:25LAUGHTER
28:26I kind of disappeared.
28:27I prayed a lot,
28:28and also my two flatmates and my boyfriend
28:30basically did a lot of washing up.
28:33Yeah.
28:34All of the time.
28:35While I was preparing for Bake Off,
28:37I was in the middle of surgery.
28:38So it was kind of a weird thing of kind of going from,
28:41like, chopping up nuts,
28:42and then I'd be in surgery the next day and it was kind of...
28:44LAUGHTER
28:46Chopping up nuts again.
28:48Yeah, chopping nuts again.
28:49APPLAUSE
28:50Where are you in your medical studies?
28:59I'm in my fifth year of six.
29:01Right.
29:02So, yeah, it just kind of keeps going.
29:03Wow.
29:04I hope you do keep going.
29:05I definitely will.
29:06I feel like I can't do just baking or just medicine.
29:08No, no.
29:09I think you can't let such a strong string to your bow go
29:13just because you're a great baker.
29:15Got to do both.
29:16And I love it so much.
29:17Yeah.
29:18Now, here's an unseen moment of you in Pastry Week.
29:21Jasmine, tell us all about your tart sculpture, please.
29:24So, um, it's a tree.
29:28LAUGHTER
29:29Sorry.
29:30No.
29:31I know.
29:33You can see why you're going to be a doctor.
29:35LAUGHTER
29:37Have you got your exam results?
29:40I have.
29:41I passed all of them.
29:43First time.
29:44CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
29:46Your family must be so proud.
29:50I mean, despite the claim you made this week.
29:52Cos I'm, like, middle child, I could just get forgotten about it.
29:55LAUGHTER
29:56That surely won't be the case.
29:58Over to your mum.
29:59As the second child, you know, she was often ignored.
30:01LAUGHTER
30:02APPLAUSE
30:08You've created so many incredible winning bakes.
30:11We really need an extended edition of the show.
30:14Let's talk about them all.
30:15Your tiered sweet bread, incredible pastry tart and delicious trifle.
30:20I mean, even the weeks you didn't win Starbaker,
30:23your bakes still look perfect.
30:25Paul, at some point, gave you a weird left-handed handshake.
30:29What did you think about that?
30:30The first ever won in Bake Off history.
30:32Yeah.
30:33I mean, I haven't watched it since.
30:34LAUGHTER
30:36Don't say that as a doctor.
30:37I'm sorry.
30:38Don't say that as a doctor, girl.
30:40I don't want to talk about that.
30:41I don't want to talk about that.
30:43Let's have some questions from the audience.
30:45Over to you, Tom.
30:46Hello, hello.
30:47What's your name?
30:48Jan.
30:49Nice to see you, Jan.
30:50Jan, do you have a question for Jasmine?
30:52Yeah.
30:53Did you bake a birthday cake for a family member?
30:55Oh, hello.
30:56And how was it?
30:57I feel like I end up always being the person
30:59to end up making the birthday cakes.
31:01I mean, you'll have to ask them.
31:02They're literally right there.
31:04LAUGHTER
31:05Where's Jasmine's family?
31:06Oh, hello, everybody.
31:07Hi.
31:08I suppose I should go and ask you.
31:10Just...
31:11Sorry, Jan, but...
31:12LAUGHTER
31:14Hello, Jasmine's family.
31:15All along here?
31:16Are you Jasmine's family?
31:17Oh...
31:18No.
31:19No?
31:20LAUGHTER
31:21No, you've just sat with Jasmine's family.
31:23Yes.
31:24Oh, that must be awkward for you.
31:25Yes.
31:26Hello.
31:27Sorry, get out of the way, then.
31:28From Jasmine's family.
31:29Hi, everyone.
31:30Hi, hi, hi.
31:31Hi.
31:32Jasmine cooked a delicious birthday cake for me.
31:35I still remember it.
31:36It was scrumptious.
31:38Oh.
31:39You...
31:40Who are you?
31:41LAUGHTER
31:42I'm Jasmine's dad.
31:44Oh.
31:45And who are you?
31:46I'm Jasmine's sister.
31:48Ah, I thought you might be.
31:49And what do you do?
31:50I am university.
31:52Yes, what do you study?
31:53Engineering.
31:54Engineering.
31:55Wow.
31:56Not quite a doctor, but...
31:58LAUGHTER
31:59And where's Jasmine's boyfriend that had to do all the washing up?
32:04Yes.
32:05Oh, oh, hello, hello there, sir.
32:07Hello.
32:08So, crucially, not family.
32:09LAUGHTER
32:10LAUGHTER
32:11So, do you do a lot of the washing up?
32:15Yeah.
32:16Um...
32:17Do I say it?
32:18LAUGHTER
32:19There's this thing called a scrub daddy.
32:21LAUGHTER
32:22Come on, that's what we call Paul Hollywood.
32:25LAUGHTER
32:26When I was first getting to know Jasmine's family,
32:29they all started calling me scrub daddy
32:31because I was the guy who was just washing everything up.
32:33LAUGHTER
32:34Yeah, you weren't meant to say that.
32:36LAUGHTER
32:37And so...
32:38Well, that was lovely to get that little insight.
32:40Thank you, scrub daddy.
32:41LAUGHTER
32:42Sorry, excuse me.
32:43Well, thank you, Jasmine's family.
32:46Who's got a question?
32:47Have we got another question now from our audience?
32:49Someone over here, have we got coverage?
32:51She's had her hand up for ages.
32:53Oh, you've had your hand up for ages.
32:54All right, all right.
32:55I think we can get coverage.
32:56Yes, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, hello, you.
32:58Hello, hi.
32:59What's your question for Jasmine?
33:00So, I'm here with my fellow food teachers.
33:03Oh, great.
33:04Not really a question, you're just describing your life.
33:06LAUGHTER
33:07Yes, yes.
33:08And we were wondering,
33:09were you as successful with your food lessons at school
33:12as you have been in the tent?
33:14That is a wonderful question.
33:15I can't even remember my lessons at school.
33:18Oh, that's worrying for a doctor.
33:20LAUGHTER
33:21I wish they'd taught us how to make a fondant fancy, honestly.
33:25Do you think we could do that in an hour?
33:27We have an hour for our lessons,
33:28and they have to do their own washing up.
33:30Oh!
33:31Oh!
33:32They haven't got there and scrubbed anything.
33:33LAUGHTER
33:34Did they do that in an hour, do you think?
33:36Um, to be honest,
33:37I don't think you could do that in three hours,
33:39so maybe...
33:40Maybe we've got to go back to three.
33:41At least we stroll.
33:42Oh, that's not...
33:43Oh, don't say that.
33:44Hassan's right there!
33:45LAUGHTER
33:46So cruel, so cruel.
33:47You did the Swiss roll in an hour?
33:49Yeah.
33:50Oh, my gosh, we should take notes.
33:52LAUGHTER
33:53I was going to say,
33:54we've got everybody here from the tent,
33:56and I wanted to ask,
33:57what did you enjoy most of all
33:58about being in the tent with Jasmine?
34:00The first time, I think,
34:01Jasmine ever saw the word chihuahua written down.
34:03Oh, no!
34:04She thought it said chia-hoo-ah-hoo-ah.
34:06LAUGHTER
34:07As we go into the tent to do the showstoppers,
34:09we're all going chia-hoo-ah-hoo-ah to each other.
34:11LAUGHTER
34:12It's like our version of Hakuna Matata.
34:15Yeah.
34:16True would like to ask a question.
34:18Who are you going to ask a question of?
34:20I want to ask a question of all the bakers.
34:22Oh, fine.
34:23We've heard so much about how much some of them have cried.
34:26Mmm.
34:27I want to know if anyone got through Bake Off without crying.
34:30Yes, is anybody not weak?
34:32What's that, Toby?
34:33Well, I thought Ian never cried until very recently I found out
34:37that he actually used to sneak off for a secret cry in the toilets
34:40away from the toilets everybody else uses.
34:42Oh!
34:43Ian, is this true?
34:44Yeah, it was a separate toilet.
34:46There was no one beside you, so no one could hear you,
34:48so you could cry as loud as you wanted as well.
34:50LAUGHTER
34:51In Bake Off, no-one can hear you crying.
34:54LAUGHTER
34:55I forgot that we're mic'd up as well,
34:57so the sound people are probably just listening to me crying.
35:00And we've got the audio of it now!
35:02LAUGHTER
35:03Oh, Ian, that's very sweet.
35:06Yeah, I feel like I just needed a release after every showstopper
35:09because I lost my mind every single time.
35:12Much better to say you're going to the toilet for a cry than a release.
35:15LAUGHTER
35:16Yes.
35:18Ian and Toby, thank you.
35:20Back to you, Jo.
35:21You're just there.
35:22LAUGHTER
35:23Thank you, Tom.
35:27Thanks for now, guys.
35:28Coming up, we'll be presenting Jasmine with a special memento
35:31of her time in the tent.
35:33Plus, she'll be taking on OT and John in our final celebrity challenge.
35:37See you shortly.
35:38APPLAUSE
35:46Welcome back.
35:51Bake Off champion Jasmine is here, along with OT John and Dame Prue.
35:56Let's have one last look at what you've been baking in the kitchens of Britain.
36:00And just when I think, surely they can't get any weirder,
36:03up pops a cake from Danielle depicting the storage box
36:07that her father Bruce had helped them build.
36:10And here's the cake Danielle made for Bruce's 70th birthday.
36:15Oh!
36:16LAUGHTER
36:17That's so cute.
36:18APPLAUSE
36:19I can work out with the guys on the table.
36:21APPLAUSE
36:23Over to Dublin now, where Maria decided to make some delightful
36:27pink flamingo meringues she saw online.
36:30Here's what she was aiming for.
36:32Mmm.
36:33And here's how Maria's turned out.
36:36LAUGHTER
36:37While in Cornwall, Andrew baked a cake for his mother's 80th.
36:44She loves her garden and also the fox, who is a regular visitor,
36:48digging up the grass at night.
36:50So here's the cake Andrew made.
36:52APPLAUSE
36:54That's so great.
36:56That is brilliant, isn't it? I know.
36:58We got some brilliant unicorn cakes sent through, like this one Olivia sent in,
37:03made by her dad Wayne.
37:05Let's also celebrate the efforts of Jolie.
37:08Here's her equally delicate cake of the mythical creature.
37:12LAUGHTER
37:15And finally, Wendy's had a go at some chocolate fairy cakes,
37:20which didn't quite go to plan.
37:22Here they are.
37:23LAUGHTER
37:24Oh, wow.
37:25LAUGHTER
37:26Is this what happened?
37:27Yes.
37:28Wait, what is that?
37:29The chocolate came out.
37:31LAUGHTER
37:32Maybe you could use some of those in anatomy classes.
37:35LAUGHTER
37:36Thank you to everyone who sent their pictures in this series.
37:40APPLAUSE
37:43They've been brilliant.
37:44And time now to have one last nosy around a celebrity's kitchen.
37:48See if you can identify our mystery star baker.
37:59Somebody with a foot.
38:01Yeah.
38:02Interesting.
38:03Narrows it down.
38:04And the fridge.
38:05LAUGHTER
38:10Blueberries.
38:15Why blueberries?
38:17I think that's a female hand.
38:20Mm-hm.
38:24There's some spices being held by a girl.
38:26Spices.
38:27They look like Leeds United football socks.
38:30Oh.
38:31Yeah.
38:32What are you thinking, Oti?
38:33Mel B.
38:35Oh, let's have a look and see.

39:52of citric acid poisoning?
39:54LAUGHTER
39:56Although I would say I'm glad you're not my doctor, because my doctor tells me
39:59to cut down on sweet treats.
40:01She doesn't go around making delicious cakes to tempt me with.
40:05Or maybe she does, I don't know.
40:06We don't have long enough in the appointment to talk about recipes.
40:09LAUGHTER
40:10But...
40:11Do you want to bring up the NHS?
40:12Yeah, yeah, yeah, absolutely.
40:13I mean, if I talked about recipes, we wouldn't have time to talk about my rash.
40:16Anyway, where are we?
40:18Oh, yes, congratulations.
40:20And none of us saw that coming, did they?
40:22None of us saw you being the winner coming.
